Itsukushima Shrine
A World Heritage site. Established in the 6th century, this shrine is one of Japan's finest, and is famous for its beautiful Shinden-zukuri style structure (architecture representative of a nobles' residence in the Heian period). The contrast of the green of Mt. Misen behind the lacquered shrine pavilion and the blue of the Seto Sea is beautiful and evocative of the underwater palace of Ryugujo.
Miyajima
Time for lunch is allotted on Miyajima. This region is known for oysters, Hiroshima-style okonomiyaki, and conger eel rice bowl, which are available at many shops on Miyajima. Customers are free to enjoy their preferred meals. *Lunch is not included in the tour booking charge.

Great tour guide who provided lots of information throughout the whole tour. It was well worth it. A lot to see in one day. Going over to the island was my favourite part of the day

Fantastic tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and engaging. Perfect if you are only briefly in Hiroshima. One small comment. A second Hotel Granvia has been opened at Hiroshima Station. This was not made clear in the booking material so we missed the start of the tour.

Taeko san was a great guide! She was always aware and considerate of not leaving anyone behind. The tour was well planned and there was no hassle in getting to and from places. Got to see the beautiful shrine at Miyajima, roam around and experience the island, after which we went to visit the Hiroshima atomic bomb memorial and museum.

It was super cool to go to the temples and look at them and very interesting and put in perspective of what happened in the bombing at Hiroshima and what affects it had on everyone and everything

We had a very peaceful and informative time during our 1 day tour of Hiroshima. The staff was very attentive, kind, and answered all of our questions. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the topics and places we visited, genuinely very patient and fun to hear telling stories. The visit to Miyajima was amazing, the island has a lot to experience, amazing views, delicious food and snacks, a peaceful atmosphere, and lots of deer! The museum was a little crowded, but it is only expected as it is such a historical place. The length at each stay was just what was needed, didn't feel like we spent too much time or too little time at any place. Transportation was smooth and very timely as well. Overall a highly recommended tour if you want to dedicate a whole day to Hiroshima!
