What To Expect
Your adventure begins with an early hotel pickup in Zanzibar, followed by a scenic domestic flight to Mikumi National Park, home to the vast Mkata Floodplain, often compared to the Serengeti. Upon landing at Kikoboga Airstrip, your professional driver-guide will welcome you and outline the day. Start your game drive across the Mkata Floodplain, where elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and predators like lions, hyenas, and leopards roam freely. You may also spot rare species such as the Sable Antelope, Greater Kudu, and the mighty Eland. Enjoy a hot lunch inside the park before continuing deeper into Mikumi’s wilderness. Visit the famous Hippo Pool in the afternoon, a lively gathering spot for hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife. As the day ends, return to Kikoboga Airstrip for your flight back to Zanzibar, where your driver awaits to transfer you comfortably to your hotel, closing a perfect one-day safari.

5.00Last week my husband and I went on a safari in Mikumi. We were amazed by what we saw, the animals in their wild habitat are simply unreal, everyone should see this miracle. It's one thing to see a lion in a zoo, but it's quite another to look for it in the wild. Special thanks to our driver Arestides and Mapunda for showing us this beauty, touring the entire Mikumi and seeing all the animals. Thank you for the atmosphere and a very responsible attitude to work! We will definitely be back next year!

5.00Yesterday we visited Mikumi park. The experience was wonderfull. We saw hundreds, maybee thousands animals. We were lucky to be so close to wild lions, monkeys, zebras, elephants, impalas, marabus. The family of hipos. Even we could saw the bufalos, wild pigs, a lot of butterflues. The countryside was so beautifull. Our guide Aistides was the best person on this position. He has sharp eyes and we are very gratefull for his care.
Definitely a clear recommendation!

5.00Incredible safari day at Mikumi Park! A huge thank you to Mapunda, our guide, and Arestides, our driver, who were absolutely on top from start to finish. Their professionalism, kindness and knowledge of the park made this experience even more special. The organization of the day was perfect, the rhythm ideal, and the atmosphere very friendly. We felt safe and very well accompanied throughout the safari. The landscapes are beautiful, the animals beautiful!
