Cao Dai Temple

Next, visit the extraordinary Cao Dai Temple in Tay Ninh, often described as a “Walt Disney fantasia of the East.” Its exterior dazzles with bright colors, where multi-shaped dragons twist around columns and sacred symbols decorate every corner. Above the main entrance, the striking image of the all-seeing holy eye represents the unity of the Cao Dai faith. Inside, the temple is just as fascinating: statues of Jesus Christ, Buddha, and the Hindu god Brahma stand side by side, reflecting the religion’s unique blend of beliefs. The vibrant mix of colors, elaborate architecture, and spiritual atmosphere create a setting that feels both beautiful and surreal to Western visitors. A highlight not to be missed is the midday service, when hundreds of worshippers in white robes gather in prayer, offering a moving and unforgettable glimpse into the rituals of this remarkable faith.

The trip itself was okay, but there was some issues that made it a bit unpleasant. To start with, we were first told that we would be picked up at 6:40 a.m., then at 6:25 a.m., only for us to end up waiting for one person for almost an hour. That was an hour completely wasted. By the time we arrived at the Lady Buddha area, we no longer had enough time to look around the souvenir shops or buy anything. The guide would “call” us back by clapping his hands, which honestly made us feel like pets being summoned by their owner. The lunch arrangement was also quite uncomfortable. There were nine people squeezed around a very small table. There simply wasn’t enough room for everyone, nor for all the dishes, making it impossible to enjoy the meal properly. The food itself was actually very good, but the seating arrangement significantly detracted from the experience. Finally, when we arrived at the tunnels, we were neither offered nor given the opportunity to do the shooting activity. The tour description stated that this activity was available (obviously at an additional cost, as it was not included), but it was never mentioned to us. It is therefore a real shame that the experience was so disappointing, especially considering that this tour had the potential to be absolutely fantastic.

  • Wonderful Statues at Black Mountain

Long exhausting ride with a very good driver. Black Mountain Statues are amazing and worth to see. Nice music/fountain entertainment. Cu Chi tunnels impressive. Walking inside as well. Smart system of VC. Didn’t like praised displayed torture instruments and traps even they belong to the history of the tunnels.

Amazing day trip from Saigon. The tunnels were fascinating and gave us great insight into Vietnam’s history. Black Madonna Mountain was beautiful, a bit of Disney land vibe but over all nice, very pictures and offered stunning views. Everything was well organized with comfortable transport and a friendly guide. Best food we ever had from all different day trips we took. Highly recommend this tour.

I was very disappointed. I booked the trip 6 weeks before getting to Vietnam to ensure I could go to Black Virgin Mt. The night before, yes the night before the company WhatsApp me to say they were canceling as other people on the trip cancelled & there was only me. Very poor! I can’t comment on itinerary as I didn’t get to go!

  • Pleasant with one red flag.

Nicely planned trip. Very nice guide. He was really good taking us through the tunnels. Red flag: lunch. It was quite chaotic. 10 of us were packed into a 2ft radius table. Courses were just dropped on the table. Would seriously request the organisers to plan this part again.
