My husband and I just got back home to Australia from a trip around Myanmar and we are so happy we went. While there we did a Trek and Rohit arranged it all for us, the trek was such an amazing experience! Khan our guide was so great, and it was amazing to have that time with him to chat about life there and the world, he is such a lovely human... The walk itself was not very difficult which was good as I have health issues and a bad spine, it helped we didn't have to carry lots on our backs. The villages on the way were great, I feel privileged to have been able to walk to them and meet all the people. It blew my mind how much they are not involved in things outside of the village. The home that invited us in to eat lunch was great; lunch was brilliant and the fresh avocadoes from the farmer was next level. Then the family we stayed with for a night at a different village were so so beautiful as well! So kind, generous, funny and welcoming! Our room and beds were comfy, the beer at the end of a long day of walking was well deserved…… but the standout was the dinner the Pa of the house cooked for us. It was cooked over a fire with just a few pots, but it was incredible, fresh veggies from their own farm as well. There were so many dishes and very dish was delicious and different from anything we had had before. They did better at cooking us vegan food than most restaurants back home. A massive thank you to Rohit as well, for setting it up, being so helpful in emails to and forth to me and for being really kind to me while I was having trouble planning the trip from back home. I think I was very lucky to have had a trip go so well as the one I planned did. I highly recommend treking with Rohit & traveling around Myanmar and supporting the people there! They are the warmest people and even with the issues there I felt very safe and welcome
