Saigon River
A 1 hour boat tour through the heart of Ho Chi Minh City also know as Saigon. During the trip you will cruise on the Saigon River along the central district 1 and district 4 and pass by new high rise towers as well as some of the best preserved buildings of the city.
Located at 1 Dong Khoi Street, this luxury hotel was built in 1925 in a classical French Riviera style by a wealthy local businessman.

5.00Our one hour boat tour was a fantastic experience. Our guide Quang and his helper and captain provided excellent service and knowledge. It was a great way to see HCMC by boat. Quang provided great local history of the river commerce as well as how HCMC life has modernized into a vibrant city in English. We took the 730pm tour. It was after sunset and darker so the skyline was really amazing. The lights of the buildings along the riverside itself was entertainment. The booking was smooth, Quang contacted me via WhatsApp and kept me informed of the tour. The pickup/drop off zone is very busy so allow time to get to destination. I highly recommend the tour if you want a quick no fuss and fun experience. They provided drinks for additional purchase and was really reasonable. It’s enough time for a couple of drinks if you want. There is a bathroom on board, small as the boat is small-but works and is clean. The seating is comfortable and the roof was opened and so everyone had a great view. We highly recommend it! Have fun!

4.00A lovely way to spend an hour. Very relaxing; drinks were available on the boat as well. It was also good to be out of the sun under cover, with a small breeze. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and told us all about the surrounds.

3.00The Saigon River Cruise offers a more authentic, local-style boat experience rather than a polished luxury boat, which some travellers may appreciate. The boat itself is fairly simple and the seating area can feel a little cramped once passengers are onboard, although the opening roof was definitely a highlight and made the journey much more enjoyable with fresh air and better views of the skyline. Drinks are available to purchase onboard and guests can also bring their own beverages, (except for alcoholic drinks). The cruise itself was pleasant enough for a relaxing ride along the river, but the overall experience felt like it missed opportunities to be more engaging. The commentary throughout the cruise was fairly limited, with long gaps of silence that could have been better used to share stories, history, landmarks, or interesting facts about Ho Chi Minh City and the river itself. For the price paid, the experience delivered slightly below average value overall. It’s not a bad activity if you have spare time and want a gentle view of the city from the water, but it may not fully meet expectations if you’re looking for something more immersive or memorable.
