Lake Sevan

our first stop is 1 h drive from Yerevan to Sevan peninsula Lake Sevan is the largest lake in Armenia and one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. It is located in the central part of the country and is surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. The lake is a popular tourist destination for its beautiful beaches and water sports activities. Sevanavank is a medieval monastic complex located on the northwest shore of Lake Sevan. The monastery consists of two churches, Surb Arakelots and Surb Astvatsatsin, and dates back to the 9th century.
