Amazing! First, communication with planning was direct and easy, and Manitra’s recommendations were spot on. The whole experience from arrival to departure was seamless and was safe and secure the entire time. Logistics and driving alone are tricky and I wouldn’t recommend a foreigner to try on his/her own. My guide and expert driver was Fanu, and I learned so much about Malagasy culture and enjoyed the personal cultural exchange so much. The plan was structured, but also flexible if needed. Of course, the sights and nature were something else. If you need more convincing to book, Manitra’s group also organizes tours of schools and works with local non-profits for community wellness so they also do good for the community, and I bet they have connections to include any personal interests in aspects of a tour. Highly recommend!

We travelled in Madagascar in June 2024 on an 11-day tour organised by Manitra’s Nature & Culture Madagascar. Our trip was wonderful. The agency did a great job organising an itinerary consisting of three distinct entities (Morondava/Tsingy; Andasibe; Antananarivo). We had very knowledgeable guides and skilful drivers. Thanks to our accompanying guides, we learned a lot not only about the amazing and unique nature of Madagascar, but also about the culture and the history of the country - and that really made our trip very special, and very different from the safari experiences of mainland Africa. Before our trip, we had decided we wanted to use a Malagasy tour operator to support the local economy as much as possible, and we were lucky to find this professional and friendly, locally owned agency to accompany us on our trip.
