Great Salt Lake

The Great Salt Lake, the world's second-largest saltwater lake and North America's largest inland salt lake, is located in western Utah, USA. It is bordered by the Rocky Mountains to the east and desert to the west, and consists of 10 islands. It is also a wildlife sanctuary, attracting millions of migratory birds annually. The lake's salinity is as high as 25%, second only to the Dead Sea, and only a few types of algae that can tolerate extremely high salinity can survive in it.

Yellowstone National Park

Yellowstone National Park, the world's first national park, is located in the Los Angeles Mountains, known as the "backbone of America," on a lava plateau between the northern and central Los Angeles Mountains in the western United States. Established on March 1, 1872, it is renowned for its rich wildlife and geothermal resources. Named after the source of the Yellowstone River, the park boasts hundreds of recorded animal species. Native Americans have inhabited the Yellowstone area for at least 11,000 years. Geothermal wonders are its hallmark, and the park's natural landscape is divided into five main areas: the Mammoth Area, the Roosevelt Area, the Canyon Area, the Geyser Area, and the Lake Area, each with its own unique characteristics.

Grand Prismatic Spring

Also known as the Grand Prismatic Spring or the Eye of the Earth, it is located at coordinates 44.524569, -110.837975 in Yellowstone National Park , USA . With a diameter of approximately 100 meters, it is the largest hot spring in the United States and the third largest in the world. It is about 75 to 91 meters wide and 49 meters deep, with a water temperature reaching 85°C, and approximately 2000 liters of 71-degree Celsius water gushing out every minute. It was first discovered by explorers in 1839. The amazing thing about the Grand Prismatic Spring is that the color of the lake changes with the seasons. In spring, the lake changes from emerald green to a golden orange-red. In the height of summer, the chlorophyll decreases, so the lake displays a vibrant orange, red, or yellow hue. But in the depths of winter, due to lack of sunlight, the water turns a deep, dark green.

Artists Paintpots

Also known as the "Artist's Paint Bucket," it gets its name from its colorful and varied geothermal landscapes and is one of the most distinctive geothermal areas in Yellowstone National Park. It features four typical geothermal phenomena: hot springs, mud pots, fumaroles, and small geysers. Walking along the trails, visitors can get up close to the boiling mud pools, the rising steam from the fumaroles, and the vibrant colors formed by mineral deposits. The entire area resembles nature's palette and is a representative attraction for experiencing Yellowstone's geothermal wonders.

Old Faithful

Old Faithful Geyser is a geyser located in Yellowstone National Park, USA , named for its consistent and regular eruptions. It was named during the Washburn-Lanford-Dorn Expedition in 1870, becoming the first named geyser in Yellowstone National Park. Currently, it erupts approximately every 90 minutes, each eruption lasting 4-5 minutes, with water columns reaching over 40 meters high, creating a spectacular sight, and it never stops. The geyser and the adjacent Old Faithful Inn are listed as part of the Old Faithful Historic District.

It is one of Yellowstone's most iconic hot springs. The water's color gradually transitions from deep blue to yellow and orange, creating distinct layers under sunlight, making it a highly scenic attraction. Yellowstone Lake

Yellowstone Lake, hailed as an "unparalleled high-altitude lake," is the largest lake in Yellowstone National Park and one of the world's highest-altitude lakes. Nestled between mountains and volcanic landscapes, the lake boasts expansive and magnificent scenery, with clear, tranquil waters showcasing Yellowstone's unique high-altitude natural landscape. Influenced by its size, depth, and climate, the lake's appearance changes significantly with the seasons: it often freezes over in winter, while in summer the surface becomes vast and mirror-like, occasionally transforming into a spectacular "inland sea" under the influence of wind. In late summer, the temperature differences create natural stratification in Yellowstone Lake, resulting in rich and delicate layers of color that, combined with the surrounding mountains and cloud shadows, make it a key attraction for visitors to experience the pristine natural beauty of Yellowstone.

2

Hayden Valley

The "valley" refers to a large grassland in front of a forest, with a river flowing through it, making it a suitable place for animals to forage at dawn and dusk. If you keep watch here with binoculars, you can often spot wolves or bears, making it one of the best places in Yellowstone National Park for wildlife viewing.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone ranks first among the 90 attractions in Yellowstone National Park and is a must-see. Located between Fishing Bridge and Tower, the canyon is formed by the Yellowstone River flowing from Yellowstone Lake, creating a rugged canyon stretching approximately 38 kilometers. This is the most magnificent and beautiful scenery in Yellowstone National Park. The 97-kilometer-long Yellowstone River is "the only river in the United States without a dam." Here, the river suddenly becomes rapid, creating two magnificent waterfalls that roar as they plunge into the Grand Canyon.

Artist Point

Artist Point is located in the eastern part of Yellowstone National Park. From Artist Point, you can enjoy the spectacular sight of high and low waterfalls cascading together, as well as the breathtaking natural scenery created by the clear sky, turquoise river, white spray, and tan canyon walls. Artist Point is also the best spot to view the Lower Falls, offering a truly immersive experience of the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. The approximately 100-meter drop of the falls gives the feeling of a waterfall plunging down a great height, with yellow and red rocks on either side resembling colorful ribbons that shimmer even more brilliantly when sunlight shines upon them.

1

West Thumb Geyser Basin

West Thumb Geyser Basin, located on the shore of Yellowstone Lake, was formed 150,000 years ago by a tectonic subsidence. The combination of hot geysers and lake water creates a unique, misty landscape: the steam rising from the hot springs rises amidst the shimmering green waters of Yellowstone Lake, reflecting against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, creating a scene unlike any other hot spring area in Yellowstone. This area is essentially a bay of Yellowstone Lake, where many geysers converge. The vents display a variety of colors, some transparent green, others a dark, cement-like black. The numerous vents create a beautiful, fantastical scene.

The park isn't large, but it features giant arches made of deer antlers in the four cardinal directions. The antlers are all hard and durable, making it a shame they aren't used to make deer antler tonics. These antlers aren't from hunting; they're from the large numbers of elk that migrate from the mountains to Jackson's National Elk Sanctuary every winter. In the spring, the antlers naturally shed and are replaced, leaving behind countless treasures after the elk leave.

Grand Teton National Park Scenic Loop Drive

Established on February 26, 1929, and named after the highest peak in the Teton Mountains, Grand Teton National Park boasts a near-pristine ecosystem. Some prehistoric plants and animals still thrive here, and the oldest rocks have been identified as dating back 2.7 billion years. With its numerous lakes, rivers, and snow-capped mountains, including Jackson Lake and Jenny Lake, the park creates a tranquil world south of Yellowstone. Furthermore, Grand Teton National Park is home to an incredibly diverse array of wildlife, including bison, grizzly bears, black bears, and moose.

Utah State Capitol

The Utah State Capitol, located in Salt Lake City, rivals the scale and design of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Its Byzantine-style dome gleams brilliantly in the sunlight. The interior is even more opulent and intricately decorated. The walls are made of polished marble, the ceilings are adorned with exquisite murals, and countless lifelike, finely sculpted figures stand within. Furthermore, given Utah's nickname, the "Honeycomb State," a prominent beehive sculpture stands in front of the building, a must-see for visitors to take photos.
