Spectacular experience!. From the prime email asking for information to the last minute. Not a single setback, all clear and in time and form. At first with some fear for doing it with local agency without knowing the country and from the first email with Maria, the tranquility and confidence was absolute! The wild-camping experience was wonderful! everything very well organized, very clean, the food and the treatment of all the spectacular staff!!! We have come back in love with both nature and the people of Botzswana - looking forward to reacquainting ourselves with that magnificent country from Kalahari Breeze Safaris! Thanks to ALL the team from this Spanish family!

Overall, we were really impressed by Kalahari Breeze Safaris. We booked early so were able to fully tailor the trip, and found Maria really helpful in putting together an itinerary which we loved, providing lots of info and advice based on what we said we wanted to see. We joined together a 3-night camping trip in the Okavango Delta with a further 4 nights camping in Moremi and Savute, ending the trip in Chobe and Victoria Fall. We loved the wild camping and found it a highlight to sleep in remote locations amongst the wildlife. Although Maria stressed it was not a luxury safari, it was certainly not a budget experience, with nice large tents, comfy camp beds, ‘en suite’ toilets and good, filling food 3 times a day cooked on the campsite fire, or in an adapted oven buried in the ground. The food was really good – and they had no issues with providing gluten-free alternatives for my wife throughout the trip. We had two guides during the trip – Master in Okavango and Clifford in Moremi/Savute. We found both to be excellent and really friendly – we loved listening to their stories around the campfire at the end of the day. Both guides were local to the area we visited with them and their knowledge of the area and the behaviour of the animals really added to the trip. We couldn’t complain about the animal sightings, including a couple of close encounters with Leopards, a pride of Lions fighting over a recent buffalo kill, and a rare sighting of a Brown Hyena. We found the lodges in between the camping trips to be of good quality and very comfortable. The final part of the trip in Zimbabwe was handed over to a local tour company and they provided equally good service. In particular, we found our guide who took us around Victoria Falls park to be really friendly, and knowledgeable which helped make that part of the trip really memorable. The lodge in Zimbabwe was the best of the trip. We booked from the UK but picked a local safari firm as we believe it is better to contribute to the local economy, rather than go through a third party. We are really glad we did as they were helpful throughout – answering my many questions before we left, providing a lot of guidance throughout the booking process and when we arrived in Botswana. Botswana itself is a lovely country with very friendly people, loads of wildlife and stunning scenario. We will definitely we going back, and will not hesitate in using Kalahari Breeze again.

We did a wonderful family vacation in Botswana organized through Kalahari Breeze. They were warm, knowledgeable, extremely attentive to our needs and wishes, and helped us to plan and arrange a customized tour touching all spots that we wanted to visit, including Okavango, Moremi, Chobe and Victoria Falls (via Makgadikgadi salt pans). Traveling with two small children, we needed a trip that was not only exciting but also comfortable and manageable for little ones—and Kalahari Breeze got it done! Special thanks to Maria (and Chris) for all the care and effort they have put in to make our tour as smooth and enjoyable as possible. They also have a group of excellent crew/guides (a shout out to Thata and Chanda!) who made the safaris a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. If you're thinking of a trip to Botswana, we can’t recommend Kalahari Breeze highly enough!

Our 11-day safari through Botswana was simply fantastic – we spent 8 days on a Mobile Safari in Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Park. Individual planning with Maria was personal, professional and straightforward from the start – we felt well looked after at all times. The organization was completely reliable. From the high-quality camping equipment to the top-equipped Landcruiser to the fantastically located camps – everything was perfectly prepared. Especially the feeling of sleeping in the middle of nature, sitting around the campfire in the evening and listening to the sounds of Africa was simply magical. What made this trip truly unique was the wonderful team: warm welcomes to the camp, a chef who surprised us daily with varied and very delicious food, and guides who with a lot of knowledge, patience and passion brought their homeland and wildlife closer. We were very lucky to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, countless antelopes and bird species as well as even leopards, cheetahs and lions. Conclusion: One of the most impressive journeys we have ever made – authentic, natural and emotional. A big thank you to the entire Kalahari Breeze team for this unforgettable experience! 100% recommendation.

My first such comment : We had a disappointing experience with this safari agency: most seriously, safety issues with no sat phone and a jeep breakdown due to lack of servicing in the middle of a hunt by a lion pride. No alternative jeep was sent and there was another breakdown the next day, with hours lost and finally a harrowing open jeep ride in dust for hours with no seat belts on rutted dusty roads like a desert roller coaster. V commercial, the company harshly demanded 300 dollars cash for unexplained bank charges, later dropped. Our trip program was sacrificed to suit the itinerary of priority clients who booked earlier, thus costing us 2/10 days viewing animals, along with other delays and lack of any transparency on transit times. Many other grievances, but we did get to see some animals despite an August drought. Guides were local drivers, not naturalists, and it was disorganised, ie not enough supplies, forgetting to load tea on jeep for game drive breaks. Cost was 500 a day per person for wild camping and mid range lodges plus travel. We had a lovely time anyway with fellow guests and meeting local people.

A magical place to visit to see the African Wildlife up close and observe these beautiful animals in the wild. So many animals to see, Majestic Elephants, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, Leopards, Wildebeest, Wild Dogs, Hippopotamus and so many birds. Our Guide Clifford was so aware of where all the animals were, and had been, that we were able to see so many every day. We were so well looked after by the camp staff, and the food was great. It was amazing to hear some of the animals at night from our tents, and we felt completely safe at all times. We would highly recommend Kalahari Breeze Safaris. It was a Trip of a Lifetime, we loved every minute of it !!!

Dear Maria, Chris and the Kalahari Breeze staff, Thank you very much for organizing such a memorable experience. Right from the beginning, you were very professional, with Maria responding promptly and patiently to our every inquiry (and there were many - I believe we exchanged over 40 emails!!). I have always wanted to visit the Okavango Delta. This was our 4th experience on safari so we were very particular with what we wanted and Kalahari Breeze were able to meet and exceed all our expectations. The safari itself was really exciting and well organized and the wildlife was prolific. The camps were clean, neat, secluded and comfortable and the food was amazing!! I can't believe we had fresh bread rolls and baked lasagna in the middle of the jungle!!! All the staff on safari were friendly, professional and well organized. Our guides were very knowledgeable. We felt safe at all times and were well taken care of. We had amazing wildlife sightings including a family of elephants crossing during our mokoro tour, a pack of wild dogs during our guided game walk and a leopard on an impala carcass during a game drive. As you know, this was a celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary, and the only thing that would have made this experience better was if our family and friends had been there to share it. Thanks again for everything. Botswana is one of the most unspoiled and unique places we have ever visited. We will definitely recommend Kalahari Breeze Tour Operators to anyone who wants to visit Botswana. I hope our paths cross again. Date of experience: July 2023

We were travelling Africa for the first time with our two kids (11 & 8). We were faced with weather related changes to our itinerary a couple of weeks before our trip and during our trip. We also had issues with our flight bookings and had to spend a whole extra day in Maun. We felt well supported the whole way through all the changes/issues. Chris and Maria were proactive in asking our feedback and wanting to tweak things during the trip to make our trip more comfortable. I think the quality of meals could have been better. We didn't really know what the meals would be like in advance, else we would have asked for a change. It would be good if they would share a menu with options ahead of time for us to pick from? A BIG shout out to the staff that went with us to Moreimi. They were simply awesome. Miss them all! Would love to see them all again. They truly touched our hearts and made our trip special. Loved the time we spent with them.
