Our journey with Raven Tours was completely seamless, super enriching, and felt incredibly personalized. We chose Raven Tours after corresponding with several local operators, as we felt an immediate, strong sense of trust and a deep understanding of how we wished our visit to Bhutan would look like — a promise you absolutely delivered on. This trip went far beyond mere sightseeing, and the fact that your back office was always quickly responsive and our WhatsApp group added an extra layer of confidence, making the entire experience truly exceptional. The entire Raven team was the anchor. This includes the staff who were with us daily and the back office. They did not just manage the logistics; they acted as expert cultural interpreters. From the insightful visit to the art center, which enhanced our appreciation for every detail we saw, to the final ceremony of hanging our prayer flags at the trek's end and wearing the traditional Gho and Kira, they curated every moment to be meaningful and memorable. Raven Tours combined personal care and thoughtful planning transformed our experience into a truly deep connection with Bhutan. Don't hesitate—and book with Raven Tours! If you want a journey that goes beyond sightseeing to truly connect with a place and its people, this is THE operator. Be ready for breathtaking hikes, moments of profound spiritual insight, and an experience that will challenge and reward you equally. Thank you again Raven Tours for an incredible journey! Bhutan truly lives up to its reputation as the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Having traveled for over 40 years across many corners of the world, I can say without hesitation that Bhutan stands out as one of the most beautiful, serene, and spiritually rich countries I’ve ever visited. This was a luxury journey, with every comfort thoughtfully arranged - yet the experience remained deeply authentic. Even my night at a traditional farmhouse offered a window into the genuine warmth, generosity and hospitality that define Bhutanese life. Throughout my travels across Thimphu, Punakha, Paro, and Bumthang, I was struck by how steeped in tradition Bhutan. The influence of Buddhism permeates every aspect of daily - from its majestic dzongs and temples to its palaces and attires- each a breathtaking work of art filled with devotion and purpose. Visiting the School of Arts in Thimpu was an unforgettable experience - seeing young artists meticulously, craft paintings, wood carvings, and sculptures using centuries-old techniques reaffirmed how Bhutan’s cultural heart continues to thrive. The journey to Punakha was a highlight in itself. En route, I visited a monastery and a school in a village ant the top of mountain; the warmth of the children and teachers was truly moving. It was a humbling reminder of Bhutan’s focus on community, education and giving. I was strich by the creative teaching methods seeing how English is taught from a very early stage and listening to kids of 6-7 years voicing what they would like to become when they grow up: from boys wanting to join the army or the police force to 3 girls wanting to become doctors. Of course, no trip to Bhutan would be complete without the Taktshang Monastery, more famously known as the Tiger’s Nest. The hike up the mountainside is both challenging and deeply spiritual - the path winds through pine forests, prayer flags fluttering in the wind, and when you finally glimpse the monastery clinging to the cliffs, it feels like stepping into another world. The experience is truly out of this space and time. The landscapes throughout Bhutan are mesmerising - mainly mountainous with little flat lands, from the lush valleys of Punakha to the high mountain passes of Bumthang, every turn reveals views that seem untouched by time. The air and water are remarkably pure, and the rivers that rush through the valleys sparkle with an intensity that is almost otherworldly. I was incredibly fortunate to have Sonam, my guide, whose knowledge, kindness, and openness made every moment meaningful, and Gyewong, our driver, who navigated the narrow, winding mountain roads with remarkable skill and calm. Together, they brought warmth, fun and laughter to every day and made me feel truly at home. The luxury hotels, food, and massages were exceptional - beautifully blending comfort with authenticity. Every property reflected Bhutan’s spirit of harmony with nature, offering a sense of peace that is hard to put into words. Finally, none of this would have been possible without Deepak, the owner of Raven Tours, whose meticulous planning, personal attention, and genuine care made this journey seamless. He tailored every detail to perfection - exceeding my expectations and creating an experience that will stay with me forever. Bhutan is not just a destination - it is a feeling, a philosophy, a moment of stillness in a fast-moving world. I left with a full heart, a calm mind, and a renewed sense of wonder.

If you are considering a trip to Bhutan - you will be aware that it is an expensive option and if you are normally an independent traveller it's quite strange to hand over control to a tour company . Having written to 10 companies I felt Raven was the most professional and exhaustive in their answers to me - no matter how silly the question was. The tour of Bhutan was fantastic it was a busy schedule but we felt that are time there was used wisely . The archery and hot stone bath were fun things on our last day. If I return to Bhutan without hesitation I would call on Raven again.
