Unquestionably most of the trekkers in the world desire to trek to Everest Base Camp once in a lifetime. It is famous for its diverse snowcapped peaks and the welcoming and friendliness of local people.
Trekking is possible in this area the whole year round but spring (March-May) and autumn (Sept –Nov) seasons offer the best weather for the trip. Mid spring is a good time to see the hedgerows and trees bursting into blooming Rhododendrons in particular, adding a spectacular splash of color to the landscape.
A slow ascent through wonderful Sherpa villages allows us time to enjoy the wildlife panorama, visit a number of Tibetan Buddhist monasteries and take photos of prayer walls and scenic mountain views. Our trek culminates with a fine opportunity to trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp at an elevation of 5380m, and the nearby peak of Kala Pattar/5545m for fantastic views of Mount Everest and many other 8000m -6500m snowcapped peaks. This region also has Gokyo Lake and 3 high passes.

Everything was perfectly organized. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and back worked out perfectly. Many people had to wait for flights until they were finally cancelled. I got a ticket for the first flight in the morning, which always takes place in good weather. My guide Hira Regmi Magar took very good care of me and always asked if I was okay. We had a lot of fun and could go my pace. He was very flexible and fulfilled every wish I had. In summary, the whole experience was 10/10.

We did the Three High Pass trek as a group of three friends and had an incredible experience. The hike itself was absolutely amazing — stunning views every day and such a great mix of challenges and rewards. Everything was really well organised, from start to finish, which made the whole trip easy and enjoyable. Unfortunately, one of us suffered from altitude sickness and had to be evacuated, but the tour agency handled the situation exceptionally well. They were incredibly helpful and efficient in arranging the helicopter evacuation and making sure everything went smoothly. Our guide and porter were both fantastic — professional, kind, and always looking out for us. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this trek and the team behind it!

Despite all the bad weather information we had been informed by several friends at first, it should be stressed that the weather on our walking days was beautiful!! Kumar was always attentive in his treatment, there were many small details that I will miss about him, but especially the quality of being human and its occurrences! Arkita always willing to offer information even when there were many hours of difference (here day and night). Thank you for making our trip a pleasant experience!

Really good experience with Alpwander : they were really patient in explaining everything before the trek, giving us a list of things to take with us and renting us warm coats (poles and sleeping bags being included!) I did the 7 days Annapurna Base Camp trekking with my friend and everything went well for us. They adapt to our planning. Our guide DB was really nice, always caring for our wellness and respecting our rhythm of walking. He took care of everything during the trek and answered our questions! The accommodation was nice, we had everything we needed (extra blankets when necessary…), even with the hazards of the mountains (power cut, low temperature…) Transportation was nice as well and the owners stayed available during the entire trip. I recommend !!

We were in the best hands from start to finish. Every question was answered in advance and we were helped with every uncertainty. We always received prompt feedback and a detailed answer from Arkita. She is very competent and responds to every request. She was a great help with the organisation and planning. Highly recommended! At the beginning we were unsure whether we should do the tour with or without a guide. But then we decided in favour of the guide. We walked for 2 weeks from Lukla via Namche to Gokyo and then over the Chola Pass to Everest Base Camp with our guide Sonam Sehrpa. He was the best guide we could have imagined. It was a huge help to us what he did for us. He looked after the accommodation, took care of the food and, above all, looked after us. I have a lot of allergies, which I told Sonam about at the beginning. He then made sure that there were no allergic foods in the food at each lodge. If we had any questions during the trek, he was always able to answer them. That was really brilliant. It was just perfect with him and we were really happy with Sonam. We can only recommend him as a guide! It was a pleasure to have done this trek with him. Thank you for everything, Sonam!
