This trek begins with an iconic flight into Lukla Airport at 2,860 m. Straight away, you will trek for 3 to 4 hours to reach Phakding. And although that looks like an easy day on paper, this is the Himalayas, and each day has its own challenge! You will trek for approximately 5 hours daily, some days longer at 7 to 8 hours. With alpine forests, villages, fast-flowing glacier rivers, and mountains, each day brings something new to see and marvel at.
Some of the trek's highlights included the famous Namche Bazaar—the starting point for numerous expeditions to climb Everest; visiting Tengboche Monastery, the largest one in the region; climbing the Everest viewpoint at Kalapatthar; and, of course, reaching Everest Base Camp itself.
The route from Gorakshep to Base Camp and back takes 6 to 7 hours of serious walking over rocky ground formed by glacier debris. All while under the protection of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and more mountains.

If you thought yesterday was a photographer's paradise, waiting to see the views of Everest from Kalapathar. We rise before dawn to witness sunrise over Mount Everest. Nuptse Nup, Changtse, and Lhotse are illuminated by the first rays of the sun also. Being on top of Kalapathar is as close as we can get to Everest in terms of views without climbing to the peak! Reluctantly, we turn back to hike down to Gorekshep for breakfast and on to Pheriche. If the group still has more energy, we can walk on to Panboche and overnight there.

Went for EBC with a friend. Beautiful landscapes, laughing and sharing moments with our guide Jay, but unfortunately ended up with us both being sick and cancelling the trek mid-itinerary. However Jay still showed himself the most caring and motivated for my friend and I safety / well-being, checking up on us when sick, carrying me when unable to walk down to a lower altitude village in emergency and even visiting us in hospital after the trek ended : a humble, caring and genuinely kind guide that I would blindly recommend to anyone ! Magical Nepal themselves also showed themselves very available in texts & calls, and made sure our trip went as smooth as possible, huge thanks !

What an experience! Me and my 8 year old son, decided to hike to Everest Base Camp in November 2025 and we were not disappointed. The weather was brilliant, the views magnificent and the trek more fun than we had thought. We were so glad that we went with Magical Nepal. Our guide Raj Kumar Rai looked after us so well. We never got altitude sickness as acclimitisation was well managed, and the local knowledge far exceeded the western counterparts. the porter Nissan, carried the size of a house on his back I'm sure and without a wince. The organisation from start to finish was well planned and took so much weight off us. All we had to do was turn up and enjoy. We were also extremely delighted that we were able to accomplish the trip with my son being so young. I would definitely recommend Magical Nepal. Raj became like a brother to us and we were so happy that we chose a local company. Thanks!

I have just completed Everest Base Camp and 2/3 of the Three Passes Trek with Magical Nepal. This is my second trek with the company and the whole experience has been everything I could ask for and more. They are extremely flexible, responsive to messages and just want you to have the best trip possible. The route that we took allowed for the best possible acclimatisation, with multiple acclimatisation hikes and rest days. We went to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar, getting to spend as much time as we liked at these places to fully enjoy them. The views from Cho La Pass, Gokyo and Renjo La Pass were some of the best I have seen in my life, I can’t recommend going beyond Everest Base Camp enough. Our guide Sajan made the experience as easy as possible, he made sure we were always well fed, had everything we needed and had extensive knowledge to answers our many questions about the mountains and Nepal in general. He also addressed any problems that came up promptly and with ease. If you’re looking for a beautiful trek and the best company to go with, do EBC and some, or all of the passes. If you want a lovely, smart guide who is a huge Messi fan, will be your personal photographer and become your friend, ask for Sajan. I’m already looking forward to my next trek with Magical Nepal!

Bibek was a highly dedicated and responsible guide who helped me make my EBC dream a reality. Potter was also incredibly diligent. Without their invaluable support over these 11 days, I could not have completed this challenging trek.

A truly incredible experience; our guide Mitra made all of the logistics easy while helping us acclimatize and adjusting to our level of fitness and desire for a challenge. He was helpful and informative but not overly controlling of our time or activities. Ultimately, he helped us deal with AMS in a professional and calm manner, navigating our descent to a better elevation. Special shout out to our porter, Pikas, who carried heavy loads with no complaint and took some incredible selfies along the way. Mitra also helped rescue our trek after one of our bags was lost at the airport, taking us shopping to replace some of our gear and lending us the rest. The trek itself is very interesting culturally and a good physical challenge! Doing it in November meant the weather was clear but the nights in the teahouses were quite cold, even with heavy sleeping bags and jackets. The stars from Lobuche, the sunset climb of Kalapathar, and the cozy energy (and fun acclimatization hike) in Dingboche were the highlights. Thanks Mitra and Magical Nepal!

I had the best time on my 14-day Everest Base Camp trek. The entire experience was unforgettable—the food was great, the culture was rich and vibrant, and the views of the mountains were absolutely breathtaking. Every day offered something beautiful to see. Our guide/sherpa Ang Jeeva Sherpa (AJ) and porter Raj Kumar Rai were amazing. They were knowledgeable, supportive, and made the journey feel safe and enjoyable from start to finish. A huge thanks to Magical Nepal, who helped with everything throughout the trip. Their organization and care made the trek smooth and stress-free. I highly recommend them to anyone planning to trek in Nepal! Alex Punin from Australia

Majestic! How else can one describe the top of the world? Up, up, up. Each level a different topography. Forest, to high desert to vast wasteland, to exulted snowy peaks. As you climb, one has to breathe consciously and deliberately, which, though disconcerting at first, induced after a time, an almost ecstatic tranquility of mind. The whole body moved in a single rhythm of breathing, walking and thinking. The lungs, no longer discrete and automatic, were disciplined to harmony with mind and limb. Day after day a new adventure… Then, there it is…Everest. The quest accomplished. A bottle of champagne popped. Welcome to the top of the World! Of course, as you focus on achieving your goal. The last thing you want to think about are the semantics. This is where Magical Nepal was so consequential in my quest. Every moment carefully constructed for me. Every need meticulously taken care of by Magical Nepal. I booked 6 months in advance and Saugat kept in constant contact with me to make sure my trip was everything I had hoped and dreamed. Saugat’s grace and aplomb shown through. He met me at my hotel before the trek started. He carefully went over every detail with me. He put my mind at ease. Whereas I could focus on the ascent. Not worried about the semantics. Frankly, the peace of mind Saugat and Magical Nepal gave me was priceless! We do these types of exploits once in a lifetime. You want to trust these touchstones to those who truly care about your experience. Saugat and Magical Nepal are the ones you want to trust with your adventure!

What an experience! Although my boyfriend and I love hiking, we had never done a more-than-one-day trek before. Thus, doing EBC trek was supposed to be a new challenge and it was very important for us to find a provider with whom we feel safe and who would make this trip a memorable one. Thanks to a personal recommendation we found „Magical Nepal“! From the first contact on we felt their strong customer orientation. Every of our (many) questions has been answered very quickly and we got all the information that were important for us. The booking process was easy and very comfortable. But of course much more important was the amazing organisation of the trip itself! Absolutely every single detail, be it the pick-up at the airport, the booking of the accomodations or the meal plannings went so smoothly while staying flexible for extra wishes or jointly agreed deviations from the original plan. For example, on day 2 we found a wonderful accomodation, so our guide spontaneously managed that we could spend a night there on our way back down. Our guide „KP“ was really the best anyway! He was the one who made this trip even more special. He was so caring, always made us feel as comfortable as possible and we had so much fun together! He managed so many things „in the background“ (like the mentioned change in the accomodation planning after we found that beautiful hotel on day 2) that we really had to care about absolutely nothing else than just enjoying this incredible experience. Big thanks to „Magical Nepal“, especially to Saudat (who has managed everything in advance and helped us with all of our questions) and to KP, the best guide ever!

Our Everest Base Camp trek was an experience my girlfriend Lydia and I will never forget – thanks to Magical Nepal and an absolutely outstanding team. Our guide KP was exceptional. He took care of us in every possible way, answered all of our questions, anticipated our needs, and made sure we felt safe and comfortable at every step of the journey. His calm, experience, and kindness turned this challenging trek into something truly enjoyable. A huge thank you also to our porter Milan. He carried our luggage as if it weighed nothing and was always there when we needed a hand. Always friendly, always reliable – a truly wonderful person to have with you in the mountains. Saudat, the head of Magical Nepal, was available at any time before and during the trek. No matter what questions we had, he responded immediately and helped us with everything. That level of support makes you feel genuinely taken care of. All in all, this trip was unforgettable not only because of the Himalayas, but especially because of the amazing people who made it so special for us.
