エディンバラ城の影のすぐ下から出発し、ファイフ王国を目指して北上しながら、ユネスコ世界遺産の旧市街と新市街について学びます。
Forth Bridge
フォース橋を渡りファイフに向かってフォースのファースを渡り、橋がスコットランドにとってなぜ重要なのかを学びながら
Pitlochry
ファイフ王国をドライブした後、ピトロッホリーの町に到着。 ピトロッホリーは、信じられないほどの森林、迫り来る山々、信じられないほどのウイスキーに囲まれた小さな町です。 ここで立ち寄るのは、スカイでの夜のランチと物資、そしてハイストリートを探索するチャンスです。
スコットランドで2番目の国立公園であるケアンゴームス国立公園を通り抜け、初めて味わうハイランド地方を満喫しましょう。 ガイドは条件により、ハイランドの標識、モーリック湖、その他の場所に停車します。
Culloden Battlefield
ジャコバイトの反乱の悲惨な物語を学び、カローデン戦場で反乱がどこで終わったかを見てみよう。 無料で敷地内を散策するか、1人16ポンド（約2,800円）の料金で入館するかを選択できます。
Loch Ness

スカイ島に到着し、キレアキン泊の宿泊先へ向かいます。 スカイブリッジの素晴らしい景色を眺めるこの小さな漁村は、次の2泊は私たちの家になります。また、料理したくない人のために、パブ数軒とインド料理店があります。 料理がしたい人のために、宿泊施設にはフルキッチンがあり、ツアーのために個人で借りています。

Portree
この日のランチストップは、スカイ最大の町、ポートリーです。 ここで1時間、地元の農産物を楽しんだり、残りの昼/夜の必需品を購入したりすることができます。 出発前にカラフルな港の家々をチェックして、ポートリーでの体験を十分に満喫してください。
The Old Man of Storr
ポートリーからトロッターニッシュ半島を北上し、この日最初のハイキングである「ストーの老人」へ向かいます。 最高の靴と防水性のあるものを投げて、陸地から突き出た玄武岩の柱に向かって登り、スコットランド全土で最高の眺めを手に入れましょう。

Lealt Fallsに立ち寄り、滝の麓まで歩き、幻想的な写真撮影の機会をお楽しみください
Kilt Rock
キルト・ロック（Killt Rock）という適当な名前の滝に立ち寄ると、ギザギザの崖の縁に沿って海に直接流れ込む滝を見ることができます。
Quiraing
本日2回目のハイキング（天候が良ければ）では、クワイランと呼ばれる地すべり沿いの素晴らしい景色を眺めることができる高原の頂上へ。 スコットランド中で最も魔法のような場所の1つ。
Duntulm Castle
クワイアリングの道路が閉鎖されていたり、天候が厳しすぎる場合は、スカイの最北端のスポットへ向かい、ダントゥルム城の遺跡を見学します。 晴れた日には、水平線上にアウター・ヘブリディーズ諸島の島々を眺めることもできます。
Uig
カイリーキンへの帰路が始まる前に、ウイッグのスカイ醸造所を訪れ、足を伸ばすチャンスです。
Kyleakin
カイリーキンの町に戻って一晩ホステルを楽しんだり、仲間の旅行者と一緒に町へ出かけたり。
スカイ島からエディンバラへ

5.00My friend and I absolutely loved our 3-day Isle of Skye tour! Stewart was funny, engaging, and knowledgable, and told the most amazing stories about Scotland's history and folklore. Although it is a lot of driving, that's unavoidable if you want to see as much as possible in the 3 days you have, and Stewart did a good job breaking it up, making as many stops as possible for photos, hikes, and a dip into Loch Ness. There were about 20 of us, and Stewart did a good job taking into account what people wanted to do but also helping us choose the places most worth seeing, which I appreciated. The hostel on the Isle of Skye was small but cute and cozy, and having coffee outside of it by the water in the morning was top tier. It felt absolutely worth the cost, and I have been raving about the experience ever since I got back. I highly recommend it to anyone considering going themselves! (Even seemed so great for solo travelers (including solo female travelers)--we had many on our tour! We did everything together so it felt like a little community and I was comfortable right away.)

5.00I knew when I began planning my trip, I wanted to see more than Edinburgh so I was delighted to find MacBackPackers during a social media search. Our group was really small (2 people then picked up a 3rd) and that made it even better. My tour guide, Stewart was able to answer all our questions since it was just our little group. He shared wonderful stories, folklore and had a great playlist! He even stopped so I could see the Kelpies, which I’m not sure is on the regular itinerary. He also looks nice in a pair of blue jeans so there is that, too! This is the only trip I’ll be able to take for the next 2 years and I’m so glad I can say I feel no disappointment in my tour, at all. 10/10 recommend.

5.00We took 19 college students to the Highlands with Mark from MacBackpackers. It was an outstanding trip with a seasoned storyteller in Mark as our guide. We faced sunshine, rain sleet and on the final day ⛄️! Mark was incredibly joyful through out the adventure, punning his way through the history and folklore. The stops were perfect for bathroom breaks and snacks as well. He even took us to the Kelpies since a few of the students really wanted to see them. Mark kept us safe and warm and actually hiked with us. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and Scott had breakfast ready and a warm fire when we got back. Mark was keen on stopping for feral goats and hairy coos! If you want a fun, high spirited , and positive experience …ask for Mark! Places we saw in the pics along with a dip in the Nessie Waters.

5.00My sister and I did the 3 day tour of Loch Ness and The Isle of Skye, it was absolutely fantastic. The itinerary was great and took us around to a variety of awesome must see spots in the Highlands. We had a small group which was really nice. We all got along great and really enjoyed hanging out and exploring with one another. Both of the hostels were awesome, I especially enjoyed the Loch Ness hostel quizz night, run by a fellow kiwi! Mark, our tour guide was AMAZING. He was so knowledgeable, passionate and absolutely hilarious. He really made our trip!

5.00Completed the five day and it was absolutely amazing, Neil our guide was super friendly, polite, and knowledgeable about Scotland’s history. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a beginner hike as well as explore Scotland and see the beautiful landscape. will definitely use them again in the future.

5.00TL:DR Definitely recommend. Amazing trip. Neil - our tour guide and driver was absolutely fantastic. Eighteen souls and one bright pair, Set out to chase the mountain air. A bus, a guide, the winding way, Two golden nights, three silver days. Neil, the driver, voice of flame, A storyteller true to name. With laughter, lore, and secret skies, He led us where the magic lies. Each story spun, a thread of gold, The Highlands came alive, retold. No map in hand, no sat-nav near, Yet every road was crystal clear. He knew the bends, the secret ways, Where hidden beauty softly lays. Each night we found, to our delight, Warm beds that glowed against the night. Oh Skye! Oh hills of quiet streams, You linger still in all our dreams. And though the journey’s curtain fell, Its echo sings—we’ll never tell. So raise a cheer, let praises ring, For Neil, who gave the trip its wings.

5.00Had an awesome time on this trip on Bus Driver and guide. Neil was super helpful and had plenty of stories. I really enjoyed this trip but definitely something magical about the mountains.

5.00I was over in Edinburgh for business and a colleague and I decided to extend our trip. We set off on a Friday towards the isle of Skye while stopping at magical places along the way. We tried to see Nessie and explored a battlefield. We made it to Skye Friday night and had an absolute blast at the local pub eating fresh fish and chips. On Saturday we had gorgeous weather for hiking the Old Man of Storr (I literally got sunburned in Scotland). We saw some beautiful sights along the way & traveled all over the beautiful isle. On Sunday we had to leave, but not without seeing Ben Nevis at an incredible viewpoint. This was an incredible tour and our guide Mark was amazing. He had the best energy, was extremely knowledgeable, a great storyteller, and very friendly. He played Scottish music the entire time & when he wasn’t, he was telling a great story.

5.00We didn't know what to expect when we got to the hostel but soon after boarding the bus we knew it was going to be great. Stewart, the tour guide, was hilarious and informative with the history of Scotland and played great Scotish music throughout the ride. Highly recommend going on this tour since you'll see amazing sights and meet great people throughout the three days
