1 day- After picking you up from your hotel, we'll start driving to west for semi Gobi. After about 4 hours of drive on a paved road (in between coffee breaks and toilet visits will be provided), you'll be in semi-Gobi. Our nomadic family (camel herder) will be waiting you and welcome to their home. You will be introduced to the lifestyles and people of nomads in semi-Gobi. Local Mongolian lunch, which is made by the lady of the nomad family, will be served. After lunch, it is time to ride the camels. You will be taken to the sand dunes with your camel (you can take the lead of your camel if you want to! Just let the camel guide know!). It is a great way to get introduced to the lifestyles of nomads as the local family has many sheep, goats and horses besides hundreds of camels. After a joyful day with the family, we'll head to Karakorum (which was the ancient capital of Mongol Empire). After check in to the ger camp, dinner time! Then you will be taken to the hill top for the panaromic view of the small city of Karakorum (also for your digestion after heavy Mongolian meals!). Overnight at traditional Mongolian yurt known as ger.

Tour guide Utaa was very friendly and knowledgeable. Had a long drive through the beautiful Mongolian countryside and thoroughly enjoyed Karakorum. Unfortunately, the national park was closed and so I did not get to see the wild horses. Loved the food and the overnight in a yurt

It was interesting to see the vastness of Central Mongolia. The wheat fields were huge. The camel ride was great. They were so gentle and fluffy.

Worth it and kind staff of them. I really appreciate their help and knowledge of the country. We travelled with 2 children both teenagers. They had one of the best family tours of their lifetime as a family together. We made an unforgettable memories as a family. Really recommend the tour

I would not recommend this tour to friends or family. While there were parts that were great (seeing Mongolian country side and staying in Yert) it is definitely not worth the money. This tour could have operated at 1/3rd of the price charged. Both days were taken up by driving in a squished van, food would have been worth no more than $30 AUD in total. I will say that the guide tried his best but really didn’t understand much of what was being asked (I.e., information about the day and what was happening next).

  • Totally worth it

It was a beautiful and easy way to get a more proper insight into Mongolia. Both my guide Tsoki and the driver Zoloo were extremely kind and making all possible effort so that I could feel comfortable and see the places of my interest. The monastery at Erdenne Zuu is extraordinary and itself already worth the journey. The yurt campsite was also very interesting and there was a live music performance at night.

Ortho and the driver were amazing!!! One of the best tour experiences I’ve ever had and I’ve been to almost 90 countries at this point. He was super knowledgeable and we say and did everything planned and that I wanted to do. Great human beings!

A good guide and a good trip. Things went smoothly, was pretty well organised. Guide spoke English well We did most of the activities on day 1. Day 2 was lunch, Hustai and driving. This was largely due to spending about 3 hours getting back into UB due to congestion 4 stars because we didn't do the lookout or meet the nomads (went in their house but they weren't home). I also felt the communication could slightly be improved - outline the plan for the day, how much time we have and until the next stop, toilet locations etc. These are minor improvements, overall a very good experience

  • Amazing taste of this ancient culture!

We had a great time on this tour! Our guide, Urtnasan, and driver, Tsgmed Tseegii, were so positive and enthusiastic. They took our picture all the time, and we were happy to indulge in selfies with them. We were impressed with Urtnasan’s English, having only studied for about 3 years. It should be noted we did all the things listed in the tour description, but just not in the same order. This could have been due to us going in November which was definitely not peak season. We particularly enjoyed the frost-covered desert, camel ride, and staying overnight in the ger (which was very warm!) Should be noted the roads in Mongolia are rough, so if you get easily carsick, you may struggle, though we had no issue with this. Tsgmed surely made it a smoother ride than we could have done ourselves, especially in the crazy, city rush hour traffic. Overall recommend!

  • Exhausting drives, but worth it. Highlights were the camel ride and our tour guides!

The camel ride and the time to Kharakorum. Unfortunately, the drive time was very long but through no fault of the tour guides--it's just the vastness of the Mongolia! The gur (sp?) experience was unique, but probably not one that I'd wish to repeat. Our tour guides were warm and friendly and took good care of us.
