Evolution departs Cairns daily offering an award-winning full-day reef cruise, with 5 hours spent visiting 2 spectacular Outer Great Barrier Reef locations (Norman OR Saxon and Hastings Reef). Enjoy snorkelling (included) or dial up the adventure and add on a scuba dive or helicopter flight (extra). BBQ lunch and a glass of wine, cheese and biscuits on the return journey are included.
Embark on a fascinating journey with Skyrail. Glide metres above the pristine jungle canopy before descending to explore the rainforest close up. After some free time in Kuranda, embark on your journey back to Cairns via Kuranda Scenic Railway, the original rail journey to Kuranda. Travel over bridges and through tunnels hand-made by North QLD’s pioneers. This is a truly spectacular rail journey.

Check-in is from 7.15am at Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Please make your way to the Down Under Cruise and Dive counter to check-in. Boat departs 8.00am sharp.
If you choose to add a scuba dive (extra cost), please note: all divers are required to complete a Medical Questionnaire. In a commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and ANY prescription medications will require a letter or email from a doctor clearing you to dive. This clearance must state your full name, the doctor's name and practice and the clearance to dive for the specific medications/condition. Please review the operators Medical Questionnaire and Terms & Conditions prior to travel.
If you choose to add a scuba dive (extra cost), please note: Diving within 24 hours before your flight is not permitted.

What To Expect
Great Barrier Reef
Evolution departs Cairns daily, with five hours spent visiting two spectacular Outer Great Barrier Reef locations - Hastings Reef, Saxon Reef or Norman Reef. Evolution is a large 35-metre catamaran with three spacious deck spaces to lounge in comfort. Experience one of the wonders of the natural world up close and personal snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef (included). Dial up the adventure and add a scuba dive or scenic helicopter flight (extra costs apply, speak to reservations after booking). Enjoy a delicious barbecue lunch cooked onboard with a variety of salads, breads (special dietary requirements catered for too). As well as a complimentary glass of wine, cheese and biscuits on the return journey.

Enjoy free time in Kuranda strolling the streets of this iconic location in Far North Queensland.

5.00Day one The boat trip and snorkelling in Great Barrier Reef was an exceptional day. The day was very well organised. The snorkelling was fabulous- full safety demos, stinger suits etc.plenty of time on the reef. The food was excellent and plentiful- tea/coffee and cakes on arrival- lunch was amazing-steak, prawns, fish, veg, rice, pasta, bread- wine and cheese and biscuits on way home. The staff were excellent Day two Kuranda The Skyrail was really good and efficiently ran. We had approx 4 hours in kuranda- plenty to do. Train home was lovely with good commentary of sights etc Would highly recommend both days but if you only have time for one the boat trip was the best day

5.00The weather was not easy but the Great Barrier Reef was impressively beautiful. The crew was very helpful friendly and helpful. The snacks and lunch were nice. I was very happy with the prescription diving goggles on offer in my case -6. The skyrail was surprisingly long, again the staff was very friendly and helpful. The train was worth it. This surprising combination of two completely different parts is highly recommended and well worth the money.

4.002 full day trips, one being a trip out to the Great Barrier Reef onboard "Evolution", a comfortable boat with morning tea and a bbq lunch also provided. Snorkel gear was included, and wetsuits could be used for $10. Shame the weather was a bit ordinary, but still a nice day. Photographer available to take underwater pics, I paid for all of them but unfortunately there were none from the first snorkel point where the turtle was :( The Karanda skyrail and scenic train was excellent, the 3 cable car rides are fun and stop off firstly at the rainforest where you can take a very short scenic walk, whilst at the second stop there are a few beautiful viewing points of the Barron Falls. Cable cars are clean and was great to be able to download the free app onto your mobile and get commentary along the way - takes about an hour to get to Karanda if you get off at both stops, but well worth it. The village was lovely, plenty of places to eat and drink, and worth an extra $40 to upgrade to gold class train on the way back, to have an individual seat & be provided with alcoholic drinks and a cheese platter and sorbet for the very scenic 90min trip back to Cairns. Thoroughly recommend this trip!

Sally and Eddie were amazing and very helpful while the photos taken by Shannon were outstanding and will remind us of the trip for years to come. Thank you guys for making the trip so amazing. Would highly recommend this as the best way to see what Cairns has to offer in a short time.
