We enjoyed our two-day experience visiting the Daintree and Great Barrier Reef! Both tours were very well organized in spite of having a lot of people. We recommend the semi-submersible.

Our first day Daintree tour was wonderful. Our guide Gavin was so amazing and helpful. He always had a smile on his face and plays a traditional instrument. It was a different experience at the rainforest on a rainy day. Even though it was raining, he took us to every itinerary as listed. We saw crocodiles on our river cruise. The lunch was delicious and we got a chance to swim in a nearby creek after we ate. The Great Barrier Reef was breathtaking and there were many colorful corals, fish, and turtles. The snorkel guides were really helpful especially Rosie. She showed me the reef in both places while I was hanging on the floatie because I was scared to snorkel as I am a non swimmer. The only thing we didn’t like was the lunch.

We did the Daintree/Great Barrier Reef trip. I will preface this by saying both days were rainy but we still managed to enjoy it. The rain stopped when we were off the bus but poured while on the bus. Andy, our guide, was very knowledgeable about Daintree and the area. Lunch was very good at the restaurant chosen for us. The Great Barrier Reef was amazing. So many fish, turtles and great coral. Lunch on the boat was very good and plentiful. The staff on board were very helpful to make sure you have a great time! There was a great ratio of staff to vacationers!

James from Billy Tea was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of great information on our day exploring the Daintree rainforest. I learned a lot despite not seeing many animals because it was simply too hot. The crew from Down Under were great and organized for the great barrier reef day. They took us to 2 spots and despite the boat having 150 participants, it did not seem crowded on the boat or at the reef. Food could have been better and the only drinks included are tea, tap water, coffee, and wine on the return trip. They sell an amazing ginger beer.

Overall the excursions were very interesting and educational and the tour guides were excellent but clearer directions on meeting places and parking should be available.
