We had a wonderful trip and truly enjoyed our stay on the pontoon. It was such a unique and memorable experience. From the moment we boarded, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to Venessa, who patiently answered all our questions about the activities. We finally decided to try the intro scuba diving, and we were thrilled to have both James and Venessa leading us. James was experienced and humorous, making us feel relaxed, while Venessa was incredibly attentive and caring throughout the dive. It was our very first diving experience, and we’re so grateful to them for making it such an unforgettable journey. We’ll definitely come back again!

We booked the Reef Suite (the underwater room) — it’s an amazing and truly unique setup. Watching fish swim past your windows is magical, even if the amount of marine life isn’t quite as abundant as the promotional images suggest. Still, it’s a special experience. However, the high price point (over $1,000 per person) comes with equally high expectations, and not all aspects lived up to that standard. The air conditioning was extremely weak, and we were uncomfortably hot all night. The bathroom lacks privacy, and the bedroom is only separated from the second Reef Suite by a glass wall and a curtain — meaning you can hear just about everything through the walls. For a premium experience, the lack of privacy was disappointing. The pontoon staff were generally excellent, and the food was very tasty. Wetsuits were high-quality and available in a wide range of sizes (up to 3XL), which was appreciated. However, snorkel masks and fins were poor quality and limited in sizing. I have a larger face and feet, and nothing fit properly. It was frustrating to pay such a premium and be left with gear that didn’t work. At one point, a kind staff member from the scuba group let me try their better-fitting gear — only for a different staff member (Soran) to take it back shortly after. I understand if his group needed it, but that wasn’t the case. Moreover, his attitude was dismissive and unhelpful. No attempt was made to find a solution, and it left me feeling stranded and ignored. For this price, better equipment and more empathy are expected. I also had a poor interaction on the boat ride over, when I tried to book a helicopter ride for the next day. The helicopter staff member simply refused, saying overnight guests weren’t allowed to book for the next day. That sort of inflexible and unhelpful attitude doesn’t match the premium nature of the experience. These might seem like small issues, but they’re hard to overlook when you’re paying top dollar for something advertised as luxury. One last note: I would not recommend the Reef Sleep option (the open-air sleeping on the pontoon). While we didn’t use it, we saw it. It’s just basic beds under the stars with shared bathrooms. As a camping experience it might be nice, but at the price charged, it’s not worth it — especially since you don’t even get to see marine life from the bed. If you’re going to splurge, go for the Reef Suite instead.

Hot coffin like swags on a pontoon. Definitely don’t waste your money. The stay is boring and uncomfortable. The beds are swags! No AC, and when there’s no wind like most nights it’s HOT!! just swags on the deck of the pontoon lined up like coffins and the reef is pitch black at night you can’t see a thing.

We stayed overnight staying in one of the underwater Reefsuites which was fantastic and well worth the money. We were shown to our underwater room when we arrived which was beyond wonderful and great and worth what we paid for. First days lunch is onboard the boat that bought us along with the day trippers was ok. All food and drink is supplied with the room charge. Diner was excellent which was multi course. During the day and night watching fish and giant gropers swim past was just magical. The following day we had to be out of our room by 10am so they make up the room for the new guests, but we were given a cocoon on the top deck where people stay on deck overnight as part of the reefstay. Anyway a wonderful stay and would love to go back one day with the family. There are only 2 underwater rooms and 10 cocoons on the top deck along with another 2 cocoons that underwater rooms move too the next day.

What a exciting, relaxing and well catered experience. This is the most inclusive trip my wife and I have ever experienced. The room was incredible with underwater view of the reef and fish with lights at night. Could not sleep a wink. Kept looking for George the Grouper! To the snorkeling with Joe who could not have been more exciting or knowledgeable. The views were breathtaking! Alba and Brooke on the pontoon were the best and most professional host keeping everyone informed, relaxed, entertained, and enthused. And the almost non-stop meals were first class! Cannot recommend this enough.

This location and setup is wonderful. The "suite" itself is great. The experience of going to the reef, snorkeling, diving, sub with windows tour are all good. You share the afternoon with many others who are there for the day. Mid afternoon everyone not spending the night leaves ... This is when the horror story starts. There is a serious Bird issue. To the point of the birds attacking guest for food. Imagine being on a pontoon (which is what you are on) in the middle of the ocean and have 1000 (maybe more) birds on this pontoon wanting food. You have the only food and they do anything to get to it... including flying into the submerged observatory where we had diner... eating diner while getting attacked by birds. If you are on the deck in late afternoon, evening or night, the birds swarm around you. There is also the sound of this many birds.... and with this many birds, they poop.... lots of it.... and it stinks. It makes this experience a nightmare. Until the bird issue is fixed, I would consider this venue uninhabitable. This is not a "1" star but not safe for humans warning.

If we could’ve given this more stars, we would! It was unbelievable. The pictures don’t do it justice. From the time you board the boat (we boarded at Hamilton Island), you are treated like royalty. The crew were amazing, particularly Alison, Alba and Emily. A snorkeling tour is included and we also did a scuba dive. Hardy’s reef is beautiful. The real fun begins when everyone else leaves the pontoon to head home at 2.45pm. That’s the time to jump in the water and have a dive or snorkel. Drinks and canapés are served on the top deck as the sun sets. We opted for dinner underwater in the observatory, which was amazing. Credit to the chef! The view from the reefsuite has to be seen to be believed. Huge Giant Trevally and Grouper. It’s surreal. A helicopter flight back to Hamilton the next day tops off the adventure. Do it!

This was a truly memorable experience. The reefsuite gave a spectacular view of the sea and life. It was mesmerising. The location of course is amazing but the attention to detail by the staff made this trip special. The whole staff on board worked so hard and look after us Particular mention to Alison and Pryia who were always there to help us. The food was amazing and any dietary needs were attended to. I would like to thank Felix, from the dive team who supported me to complete my first ever snorkel safari. His patience gave me confidence. I have been so scared of putting my head under water for years, but I did it. He was amazing. If you get a chance to experience a night under the sea and stars, then take it. One suggestion for my return. Can you put Rose wine on the menu. Totes amazing and the memories will stay with me forever. Thank you

If I could give this 1000 stars I would. We’ve been all over the world and this was the most unique experience. To be able to sleep underwater and watch the fish all day and night- wow!!! But most importantly, the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. On top of that, the friendliest staff going above and beyond for each of us. And on top of that, the most delicious and beautiful food- wow!!!! We are blown away and have already told friends and family they must visit and we hope to come back soon. Truly truly and amazing experience- if you’re considering it, stop hesitating and book it now!
