For those pressed for time, this two day/one night safari packs in two of Tanzania's most beloved national parks. You'll have the chance to see the Big Five and plenty more as you travel to these two wonderful parks.
Tarangire National Park, home to Tanzania's largest elephant population, is a fascinating park during the dry season when the Tarangire River becomes a vital source of water for animals throughout the region. As vast herds of wildebeest and zebra move to the river to replenish, the park's lions, leopards, and hyenas capitalize in a dynamic display of nature's cruel beauty.
It's then on to the world famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where cape buffalo, rhinoceros, and hippopotamus can be spotted amid the caldera's verdant plains. A picnic lunch by the hippo pool is a rare treat, allowing you to have a meal within a few dozen feet of these intimidating herbivores.

Tarangire National Park
You'll depart from Arusha after breakfast for the approximately two hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way you'll pass bustling Masai villages and the vast, open plains that have become synonymous with images of Africa. Once you've entered Tarangire, you'll begin your game drive across a rich vista of endless golden savannah that surrounds the Tarangire River. The river itself runs throughout the year and is a vital source of water for the animals of the region during the dry season. Lined with acacia and Baobab trees, the river is regularly visited by the park's large elephant population as well as other herbivores such as zebras and antelopes. A picnic lunch with a view of the river is a great way to take it all in, but you'll have to keep on your toes as the local monkey population does its best to separate you from your lunch!

Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you'll depart for Ngorongoro Crater, sometimes considered as the 8th Wonder of the World. Home to over 120 species of mammals including the fabled Big Five, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is one of the most sought after safari destinations in the world. It's a particularly good place to see the endangered black rhinoceros enjoying a lonely meal out on the grass plains, as well as a place to see large numbers of hippopotamus enjoying the cool water. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, you'll be able to observe and photograph some of Africa's most recognisable faces. The crater is home to a large number of predators including lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas, as well as a large population of wildebeest, zebras, antelope, cape buffalo, and more. It is truly one of Africa's premier safari destinations.

Communication was quick and clear Service: - I was combined with another group, who had different (budget package), thus I was losing 2 hours per day (30 min to wait for them to put up a tent + 30 min to go to my place and same in the morning 30 min to go to their place + 30 min waiting for them to pack everything in a car). Not sure if that is the best practice - to combine groups with different budget - Food was okay, but almost the same every day (eggs for breakfast, cold lunch, chicken for dinner) - Tented camps were great with hot water and all you need - Guide was great, knew everything and answered all questions (his name was Prayson) - a very intelligent guy and a good driver - Tribes visit and market was great + really great guide James was very helpful there Organization of the trip didn't meet my expectation (combination with a budget group), but tented camps and super guide Payson exceeded my expectations Overall, I would recommend Africa Joy tours to others

We are two ladies, made a last minute booking for a one week safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro with Africa Joy Tours. They were able to arrange everything within two days! We had a very personal contact, they came to see us in the hotel for Briefing and to arrange all. We got a thorough information about the tour program, were asked for any special wishes. Once on the way, everything was taken care of by our driver/guide PrayGod. He was accommodating, knowledgable, and always cool. Even before we knew what we wanted, he already offered it: coffee brake-very good soluble coffee. We see the leopard, lunch picknick. He never imposed himself, but was there. On the way to Manyara he offered us an extra tour and lunch in a local village, DO IT. The tented camps =medium range, Tortilis chain, were lovely. Everything was in order, mosquito nets, zippers, no fail. They arrange the schedule according to the needs of the safari tour. When do you want your hot shower? At 6:30? One of the Tanzanians climbs a ladder outside of your tank, pours the hot water in, and shouts "ready hot shower!" and there you go. Lovely. Have you ever heard lions roaring near you, very near you, at night? We stayed in Tortilis Lake Manyara 1 night, Serengeti Tortilis Camp 2 nights and Ngorongoro Tortilis Camp 1 night. Amazing, what they can put together for lodging, food, drinks and warm welcome in the middle of nowhere. Such lovely people. The jeep was in very good order, very "comfortable", if you can call that a jeep on a track, always cleaned and well maintained, cool box, The Staffs from Africa Joy Tours were always in contact with the guide to know, if everything was ok. Our guide PrayGod was a lot in contact with his friends, the other guides no matter which tour operator, to know, if there was anything special to see. That is how we once arrived at at anysite seeing the spectacular wildlife. Ngorongoro is one of the Wonders of the World. Paradise lost. All different animals living together and supplying each other, if you understand what I mean. Just so great. PrayGod, our guide, showed us the best places, he has more than 12 years of experience, you be sure to want that. We highly Recommend Africa Joy Tours for your Tanzania Safari. Thank you.
