What To Expect

The two-day course is planned so that you'll learn how to become an independent kite by the end of the course. From rigging your own kites to kiting around the plateau of Hardangervidda, this course is perfect for those who want to learn something new or experience the joy of snowkiting on the plateau of Hardangervidda. The course includes a theory session lasting an hour to learn the basics indoors before going out in the snow. Snowkiting is a fairly easy sport to learn, especially if you have any experience with skiing or snowboarding from before! The amount of progression most people have in a snowkite course is mind-blowing. The average customer learns to kite on skis within 5–6 hours and has fun for the rest of the course. This, of course, depends on the conditions, but most customers leave extremely happy with the feeling of having learned a lot in a short time!

This was a real highlight from a long winter trip I did in Norway. Valentin from Vindskolen was a superb instructor, and the course was excellent. I was blasting around on the frozen lakes within hours - so much fun. Do it!

The course was great. We started the evening before with a theory course and to get to know Valentin, answering any questions ahead of the 2-day course. Valentin was very chilled, very knowledgeable and super helpful - he went above and beyond for everyone in the group, accommodating for all needs. The course was very well run and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend - he even towed us up the hill at the end :)
