First of all I want to recommend to come visit Shanghai. It is a great city with many places to see and the people are very friendly. The tour company organized everything perfectly. Special thanks to Helen, our tour guide, who was always very friendly with us and is also a great person. Thanks to her we learned not only a lot about Shanghai but also about this great country. The driver was also very kind, always looking to do the best for us. So I wholeheartedly recommend this tour, this company and Helen.

We actually did a tailored 5 day tour including trips out to Suzhou, Zhujiajiang water town and Hangzhou. Our guide for 4 days in Shanghai, Suzhou and Zhujiajiao was Maria. She was incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about sharing her love of history and culture. She also helped us with any other advise or assistance we needed. For our day in Hangzhou we had Lulu as a guide and she was also fantastic.

It was the best tour. Zeck and Danity were so knowledgeable. We have booked many tours before but this tour topped it. We learned so much about Shanghai and the culture.

Looked at a number of different tours and chose this one. Good choice. Saw all of the highlights. Our guide ("Melody"- her English name) was knowledgable and good. Would recommend this tour. If you have a shorter time, or are in your 20's or 30's. you could probably cover most of this in one day. But if you like to take things in at a slightly slower pace, this is a good choice

Our guide Maria was stellar, flexible and adaptable. To ensure everything was in line, she phoned the evening before to confirm details and ensure we connected the next morning efficiently. Maria planned the tour to ensure the best experience based on the ever changing nature of Shanghai. Additionally and of interest, China Xian takes feedback seriously and adapts their tours to the needs of clients which is impressive. The tour does hit the top Shanghai sites: The Bund, the Jade Temple, the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the Oriental Pearl TV Tower (of which the Shanghai History Museum sits at the base), a Huangpu River cruise, Yuyuan Garden, Yuyuan Market, Xintiandi (which looks and feels like any other high-end tourist area anywhere in the world), the French Concession, Nanjing Road ("Times Square"). Maria made all of these places come alive, especially the Yuyuan Garden. The tour is an excellent survey of Shanghai in two days. The lunches that are included are good and at higher end restaurants in the French Concession and on Nanjing Road. Please make sure if you don't to shop, you explicitly book the tour that indicates there will be no shopping (Pearl Market and Silk Market).
