We had an amazing experience with Abu and Shamil. Abu was an excellent tour guide—very knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing the history and culture of the area. Shamil was a professional and safe driver who made our journey comfortable and stress-free. Everything was well organized, and we truly enjoyed every moment of the tour. Highly recommended!

We had a great time! Our guide Abu was constantly upbeat and really informative. Our tour was $64 usd each which for the price we originally weren't sure about the quality of the tour, however it was well organised and the homestay was really nice along with the food too. The tour group was very big (40 people) which normally we would opt for a smaller group size but it was nice getting to know so many different people from different cultures and backgrounds. Would really reccomend this tour.

> Although this tour was the cheapest option, the overall experience was very disappointing. The meals were terrible, with very little food provided. Many guests ended up going hungry because there was almost nothing to eat. The guest house accommodation was also poor. Meanwhile, my friend paid a bit more with another company and received a yurt stay along with a traditional feast for dinner. If you're planning to visit, I would recommend spending a little extra to experience authentic local food and more comfortable accommodation. The tour guide was not helpful at all. We raised concerns about the accommodation, but over the course of two days she showed no concern for our complaints. On top of that, she was often rude and unfriendly. > Overall, the low price did not make up for the poor food, inadequate accommodation, and lack of customer care.

Very nicely organised tour. I think this one offered best price for 2 days and I can recommend it. The bus was full, approx. 50 people. We were divided into different guesthouses in Saty, the food was the same in each of them and it was veeery tasty. Manti, plov... really good. We had just enough time at every atraction. I recommend taking a rowing boat at lake Kolsai when you are with friends, it is so much fun. We also did a horse riding at lake Kaindy. We asked to ride horses on our own, not in a group and the locals agreed and gave them to us. Amazing experience. PS. Seat in the front because sometimes AC did not work that strong and at the backseats is like sauna.

We had a wonderful experience on our private tour organized by Makhabbat. Our guide, Zhuldyz (“Star”), and our driver, Bereke, were outstanding during our “Two Lakes and Canyon” trip in the Almaty region. Both were highly professional, well-organized, and excellent communicators throughout the journey. Zhuldyz thoughtfully informed the hosts about my food allergies in advance, which made everything much easier and more comfortable for us. They were also very accommodating whenever we wanted to stop along the way to take photos of animals and the beautiful scenery. Their flexibility, attentiveness, and warm hospitality made the entire trip smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. Highly recommended!

Firstly, all kudos to Aya! She was our tour guide for multiple lakes and canyons, and she was incredibly well-organized, energetic, and enthusiastic throughout the trip. She made our Kazakhstan journey truly memorable by covering such a variety of terrains and beautiful locations within a short span of time — it really felt like great value for the experience we received. What stood out most was how she went beyond her responsibilities to help tourists and ensure families had nothing to worry about during the trip. Her support, positivity, and dedication made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend the 2-night trip covering Kaindy Lake, Kolsai Lake, and the different canyons for families planning to visit Almaty. Once again, thank you very much, and a very special thanks to Aya for making this trip unforgettable! Note: Follow the exact tour instructions, All goes smoothly.

Unfortunately, the weather was fine, but all the sights were still great. Pretty tight schedule. We met at 5:00 a.m. and came back to Almaty at 21:30.

Our trip to Kazakhstan was nothing short of incredible, and a huge part of that was thanks to Makhabbat and our amazing tour guide, Alina. Everything was thoughtfully arranged—from the itinerary to the smallest details—making the entire experience smooth, enjoyable, and completely stress-free. Alina truly deserves special recognition. She was beyond incredible—so warm, patient, and genuinely caring throughout the entire trip. Her knowledge, energy, and passion made every place we visited even more meaningful. She didn’t just guide us, she made us feel welcomed, safe, and at home in a new country. No request ever felt too much, and she always went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying every moment. What stood out even more was how she helped us resolve our e-visa issue for Kyrgyzstan. It could have easily been a stressful situation, but they handled it with such calmness and efficiency, supporting us every step of the way until everything was sorted. We’re incredibly grateful for her kindness and dedication—it truly made our trip unforgettable. If you’re planning a visit to Kazakhstan, we highly recommend booking with Makhabbat and hoping you get Alina as your guide. You’ll be in the best hands!

This tour is a must if you love nature, because it's easier to navigate with someone who knows the area well. Ardak, our tour leader was very helpful and insightful, he told us stories and legends along the trip. The tour was nicely paced, it's good to make the long journey at night so we don't waste the day. It was unfortunate that they cancelled the yurt accommodation a day before, so we stayed 2 nights in a guest house instead. They served us home made Kazakh dishes. We're there with other tourists there's 16 of us in a van. Overall it was enjoyable, you can connect with other tourists from all over the world. I hope in the future there will be more options for the accommodation, it will be nice if we can choose a more premium place to stay.
