Akagera National Park
Arrive at the Akagera National Park. As the guide will be taking care of the registrations, you will receive a short briefing about the safari and learn about the park history. Check in to your safari lodge and go for lunch. Afternoon game drive: We start the game drive in the southern part of the park. We anticipate to see the big 5 and other animal species and birds. Sunset boat ride: Embark on a boat cruise on Lake Ihema, observing hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Evening: Enjoy a sundowner drink while watching the African sunset over the savanna. Overnight in the middle of the forest, wake up at the sound of roaring lions.

Rise early for a sunrise game drive along the northern circuit, the best time to spot predators like lions and leopards. Traverse open savannahs, where herds of elephants, elands, and antelopes roam. 5.00I went on a two day, one night safari with Harnish, one of the guides of Vista Safaris. He was very friendly, motivated and knowledgeable. We’ve seen a lot of animals, which is not guaranteed at all. Bernard, the owner of Vista Safaris was very helpful and even helped to find a party that I could join. Feel free to get in touch with him to make that a very special experience!
