We had an unforgettable two-day trekking experience with Sapa Original Trek and our amazing English-speaking guide Sinh. Our adventure started at 9:00 am in Sapa, where Sinh picked us up directly from our hotel. After a short ride to the company’s office, we completed the payment (part of it had already been paid in advance via OnePay) — payment was possible in USD, EUR, or VND. The team provided us with water for the entire trek and even some fresh bananas for energy. Then the hike began! Sinh and his colleague (who carried the food and sleeping bags) adjusted the pace perfectly to our fitness level and even cut bamboo sticks to help us with balance and grip. Along the way, we met another small group from Singapore and decided to hike together to the base camp. The base camp was simple but had everything we needed. We enjoyed a cozy evening with hot food, laughter, and great conversations. Sinh shared fascinating stories about the jungle, the mountains, and local culture — it made the experience even more special. At 3:30 am, we woke up for breakfast under a clear, star-filled sky. Starting our final ascent at 4:00 am, we reached the summit of Mount Fansipan at 6:00 am, just in time for a breathtaking sunrise above the clouds. We were there long before any cable car tourists arrived — it felt magical to have the peak all to ourselves. Sinh even surprised us with a medal and a certificate for reaching the summit! Because our legs were quite tired, we decided to take the cable car down (800,000 VND / about 26 € per person). Sinh joined us — he has an annual pass — and afterward, he arranged a taxi to bring us back safely to our hotel. The cable car ride offered a whole new perspective of the beautiful landscape. We can highly recommend Sapa Original Trek, and especially Sinh, for anyone looking for a genuine, caring, and professional trekking experience. Thank you for this amazing adventure — one we will never forget! – Lara & Jens

Mr. Thinh was very responsive and helpful. The guide (Chay) was also kind and always made sure we were safe and moving at the same pace. The weather can change quickly, so clear skies aren’t guaranteed, but it was definitely worth it!

We did the 2 day Fansipan trekking with the friendly mr Chay, which was an amazing experience! We slept in a basic hut up the mountain which definitely had its charm. Be mindful that it is a lot of ascending on the first day! :). We are vegetarian and the food was really good, large portions and a lot of options. I would recommend booking this tour!

Trekking with Sapa Original Trek was amazing. The guide and our Porter went beyond everything for us, so we could have a good time. We got amazing food on the trek. A fresh Banh Mi, with chicken and egg and lots of salad and sauces. Afterwards we had an out of this world dinner on the campsite at 2800 m the guys prepared for us. One of the best meals I had in Vietnam. And that with limited options to cook. Trekking was good as well, sleeping at the campsite at approximately 2800 was very exciting. Out guide spoke very good English and was very patient with us while hiking. 100 percent recommend.

This 2 day trek was a great way to hike Fansipan and arrive at the summit and Buddhist complex before the cable car was open and avoid crowds. The hike up was an excellent way to experience different aspects of the mountain environment including the views, forest and climate. The guide was great - he was friendly and always available to assist when needed. The food provided as part of the tour was excellent. The overnight accommodation was basic but the camaraderie and food more than made up for it.

Reason 1: Expert Guide and Porters The 2D1N trek from Tram Ton pass (1800m) to Fansipan Summit (3143m) presents a challenging terrain for my group of 9 ranging from 13yo to 56yo, but all of us reached the summit with the expert guidance and support from trekking guide, Mr Chay, and four porters. Reason 2: Exclusive Views Apart from enjoying the challenge and achievement of the trek, other compelling reasons to join an overnight trek over taking the cable car are: overnight trekkers 1) have the summit all to yourselves before the cable car crowd streams in from 8:00am. 2) get to enjoy the sunset view near/at base camp 3) get to be mesmerised by the sunrise view at the summit. Reason 3: Responsive to Needs And Sapa Original Trek is the team to trek with. Not only were we ably supported by Guide Mr Chay and the four porters, we were also provided with excellent support and advice from Mr Tinh, who was patient and comprehensive in his response to our questions. He supported us pre-, during, and post-trek to ensure that any questions and concerns were addressed in a timely way. He also flexibly arranged for our group to have the option for some of us to descend via cable car and some to trek down, with both groups having transport back to our hotel arranged. Reason 4: Sumptuous Meals The 2 lunches, 1 dinner and 1 breakfast served by Mr Chay and the porters surpassed our expectation! It was a great spread of 1) pork and egg banh mi and fruits for lunches; 2) 1 bean curd, 2 meat, and 3 vegetable dishes for dinner; 3) chicken pho for breakfast. Thank you, Mr Tinh, Mr Chay and our team of porters. The 2D1N have been memorable!
