THE SAHARA WITH NOMADS Arriving in Douz, it is better to immerse yourself in the great Desert, to live a wonderful adventure with nomads. A great transfer of 70km deep into the Desert to meet the caravan of dromedaries, your guide and the camel drivers, and the journey begins. A unique outing to completely cut off from the world. A real cure, a change of scenery, living to the rhythm of nature... walking alongside the dromedaries... Once tired, each one has a mount... Learn from your companions the nomads, sing, dance and especially taste local dishes.

Jebil National Park
On the first day, a 4*4 transfer will be organized from Douz to the desert around the Djebil National Park. There you will meet your dromedaries and the Charmilles as well as the guide. Your hike begins on the dunes.
Sahara Desert
A day of walking on the large red-ochre dunes. You can also ride your dromedary. ✓ At 10 A 30-minute stop: eat a small cake, a fruit ✓ At noon, we stop to prepare lunch, a pancake cooked over a wood fire. Time 3 hours ✓ An hour before sunset we set up camp. A hearty dinner and a musical evening around the fire.

After breakfast at the bivouac, you start the morning walk. Each one has a mount. At 10am a 30min break. At noon we prepare lunch together, after the meal a short nap.
Douz
After 2 days spent in the middle of nowhere, a big transfer in 4x4 to reach Douz. Estimated arrival around 4 p.m.

5.00The 2 days in the desert were extraordinary, the scenery was fascinating and the food excellent. However, you must be prepared for an off-the-beaten-track experience. After only 30 minutes by car, we reached the camels and a camel. The latter was kind, but did not speak French (although it was indicated that this would be the case). It was very frustrating not being able to communicate and learn things. There was no one but him (and the dancing and singing part did not exist on the camp). We did not imagine for a moment when we chose this tour that the walking part would be so intensive. On the first day, we left the hotel at 7am and arrived at the camp at 5pm. We walked 18 km (the lunch break is very long). In the evening we had no tent (despite our initial request) and slept under the stars. It was finally a wonderful experience, which we are so grateful to have had, but it is good to know because it may not be suitable for everyone. The next day we walked again 12 km. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to walk in the desert, in the sand dunes and feel alone in the world. This is a unique opportunity. Walking is not particularly physical, but tiring especially for the part in the sand dunes. Leave equipped because no information will be given. Remember to be covered as much as possible (hat + scarf against sandbursts).
