We found Great Escape Trails via SafariBookings. It wasn't easy finding a tour that could accommodate our requests - we were on a very tight timeline, odd number-ed group, but once we were in contact with them they helped us every step of the way. When our flights got cancelled and had to shuffle the schedule around, they optimised it for us to maximise our time in the Crater and Maynara. Thom (organiser) was very responsive and helpful throughout the process, but the real star was Colly our guide. Friendly, funny, and so, so knowledgable about the animals - where and how they lived, where to find them. He got us the best viewing points, knew where to find rarely seen animals like rhinos, hyenas, hippos. We had so much fun and came out of the experience with such a deeper understanding of these animals and how climate change's affected them. In short, adventure of a lifetime, as promised. Would definitely use them again if/ when we go back to Tanzania!

My tour guide, Thomas Nina, was excellent offering the most amazing adventure I’ve ever experienced. He was knowledgeable about the wildlife allowing us to observe the big 5 in their natural habitat. The meals were also amazing due to the wonderful cook. Camping in the wilderness added to the experience hearing the sounds of the animals, observing the night sky added to the mystique of Africa. I highly recommend this Safari without reservations. It will be an adventure of a lifetime for you as it was for myself.
