Angkor Wat
Start your day with a 5 AM pickup from the hotel in a minivan. Experience the breathtaking sunrise at the world’s largest monument, Angkor Wat, and take the opportunity to explore the interior of the temple.
Bayon Temple
The Bayon temple, built during the remarkable reign of King Jayavarman VII, was constructed between the late 12th and early 13th centuries and is a breathtaking masterpiece. It is famous for its striking large stone faces, each filled with mystery and intrigue. Exploring this temple feels like stepping back in time!
Ta Prohm Temple
Ta Prohm, often called Tomb Raider, is a famous temple for the way giant trees grow over and through the ancient ruins, creating a beautiful blend of nature and architecture. One of the highlights is the impressive roots of trees like the strangler fig, which wrap around the stone structures, giving it a magical, almost otherworldly feel.
We will stop by Preak Dak to enjoy a delicious palm cake. This village is famous among locals for its Khmer noodles, roasted pig, palm cake, and various desserts.
Banteay Srei
Next, visit Banteay Srei Temple, famous for its delicate pink sandstone carvings. Although a bit farther from the main complex, its stunning artwork makes it worth the trip. Enjoy lunch on a floating hut, a restaurant owned by a community, continuing your afternoon. Back to the hotel for relaxing before going to dinner, and followed by Phare, the Circus to end your evening.
Enjoy a Western and Asian delicious buffet while watching the dance show. The Apsara Show is a popular cultural performance in Siem Reap. It introduces traditional Khmer arts and dance. The show is named after the Apsara dancers seen in the carvings of Angkor Wat. It features graceful dance routines that tell stories from Hindu and Buddhist mythology. The dancers wear elaborate ensembles and decorated headdresses, showcasing Cambodia’s rich artistic heritage. It also features folk dances from different regions of Cambodia. This event offers a full cultural experience and is a must-see for anyone interested in Cambodian traditions and history.
