  Our host Igor was amazing. Such good humor, and knowledge of winemaking and wines altogether. Explained the way that was easy to understand. We had a selection of wines that were different and some even new to me. I was afraid that two hours would be too long time to try few wines, but It turned out to be almost too short time. In good way that is. We had such a nice group of people with us and lots of laughter. I highly recommend this, and plan to take my friends there too when visiting beautiful Ljubljana ones again.

  This was a great start to our evening. Our wine expert Boris was very friendly and knowledgeable, and provided a really clear explanation of the various Slovenian wine making regions. We lovely selection of wines and the wine cellar at the castle is a great venue. If you do this experience, just note that it is a bit of an uphill hike to the castle, or you can get a taxi all the way to the castle car park (make sure you don't get dropped off at the bottom).

  So much fun! Our guide Boris was fun and very knowledgeable on all the wines, showing us what regions the grapes were grown and what makes them different. All of the wines were fantastic, and we were given the option to try two extras for 15€ more. Such an fun night!

  We were very excited to book this wine tasting experience. I booked in early June for a tasting on July 5. I received two confirmation emails with clear instructions to meet at Dvorni Wine Bar for the tasting. Great so far right? The day before the tasting I received another reminder email with no additional instructions beyond meeting at the location on time. On the 5th we arrived at Dvorni Wine Bar to find out that Boris and team had been kicked out/ceased their relationship with Dvorni and now were “somewhere else”. The emergency phone number included in all correspondence didn’t work. A helpful staff member of Dvorni called Boris and put me on the line. The tasting had been moved up to the castle with no update or explanation. The castle is a 30 minute uphill climb or €6 funicular ride. Boris was extremely rude and dismissive on the phone, blaming the central company for the lack of communication. He told us we should hike up the hill and though we would miss the program we could still drink some wine samples. No apologies, no ownership of the clear error on his part. In the end, he offered to refund us, but thus far has failed to do so. I will be filing a dispute with my credit card company this week. In happy news, we ended up staying at Dvorni wine bar where they made up an awesome custom tasting for my wife and I. I highly recommend Dvorni if you are in Ljubljana!
