The certified crew will make sure that this underwater tour into the mysterious depths of the Indian Ocean, on this German-built passenger submarine, is once in a life time experience for you.
You will embark on the largest, deepest diving passenger submarine in the world, capable of carrying 50 passengers and 3 crew to a deep waters.

What To Expect
The complimentary transfer boat will pick you from the meeting point to take you to the submarine diving platform.
On reaching the submarine diving platform you will be served complimentary fresh towels, water, before boarding. Boarding will start 15 minutes before dive time and passengers will enter the submarine via the main hatch down a staircase. Once you are seated (free seating), the submarine will leave this floating platform and cruise on the surface while crew give you a safety briefing and demonstrate the use of safety equipment’s on board the submarine.

1.00Very unreliable operators. We had booked the submarine tour several days in advance and cut short our stay in our beautiful remote resort to move to Male a day before just for this tour but they cancelled very late night the day before scheduled tour. This was very unprofessional and ruined our schedule and vacation experience.
Super diving to the bottom of the world's most beautiful ocean! We would do it again.

2.00I took the package via my resort and I paid around nearly 3.5 times more than what I would pay I was in Malé. So my review might be a bit biased because of the price that I paid. Overall, my experience was okay. I mean, it is nice to have a submarine experience once in your lifetime and to see beautiful underwater view with some fishes. Apart from that, I did not see any whale as the name of this tour suggests. Nor any shark. So for me, it was okayish. Only take this tour if you like underwater view.

3.00Great submarine dive experience. Kids will definitely love it. For adults it’s not much to see under water. Only different types of fishes. No sharks or type of Rays etc. Snorkel anywhere in Maldives, I am sure you will find better fishes. on top of it, they take us to dying coral reef under the water. Most important- 1. They are highly unorganised. They don’t even have front office. They will ask you to come by viligilli ferry terminal which runs by government and wait outside there. Around 9 AM Submarine guys will come and take you on a boat to submarine. 2. They take USD cash only. $65 charged per head 3. They charge 15% extra if we pay by card. I agreed to pay that but very strangely they don’t even have card machine as well Note- Monday and Friday are closed. In busy season they will do 1 PM dive as well. 3.00We did this as an excursion from our cruise ship. People who have difficulty with walking or balance should be aware that the boat ride to/from the jetty to the platform where the submarine is docked can be a bit rough and getting on and off the boat can be a bit challenging. Also, you have to descend a 10-step ladder to enter the submarine and then crouch down to get to your seat. It was interesting to ride in a submarine. The crew gave a short safety demonstration and did point out a few fish, but that was about it. The submarine cruised out alongside a fairly bleached out coral reef with some fish on it. The people on one side of the boat could see the coral/fish while the people on the other side were just looking out at the ocean. The submarine then turned around and let the other people see the coral. The viewing portals are large, so it is easy to see out. If you/members of your group don't have the ability to snorkel then is an option, otherwise I would recommend snorkeling.

2.00We met the tour at the ferry terminal at 9:15 as they had noted, we were early so had to wait a bit. The tour operator found us around 9:10 and it took until around 10 am for us to leave so about 45 minutes wait at the Ferry Terminal. We boarded the submarine and went through safety instructions, a few minutes later we weee told that there was an issue with the submarine and we had to disembark. We left and went back to the ferry terminal with little to no instructions. Eventually we were asked if we wanted to reschedule or get a refund. The refund process was actually quite easy and quick so appreciate that but just very disappointed with missing out on the excursion and lack of communication after the cancellation
