Sitka Sea Level Adventures is a local & family-run tour company in Sitka, Alaska. Specializing in whale watching & marine wildlife tours, we explore Sitka Sound & the pristine wilderness around the Tongass National Forest & the volcanic coastline of our island home. The surrounding waters are a marine playground for several whale species, including Humpback, Gray, and Killer Whales, sea lions, sea otters, eagles, puffins & sea birds galore!

Our tours are led by skilled Sitkans whose deep-rooted connection to the area means you’ll gain unique local insights into the habits & history of these incredible animals. What To Expect

Sitka

Sitka Sound is home to some of the most amazing wildlife in the world. On our trips we often see seals, sea lions, sea otters, and whales. There is a wide variety of birds in our area as well: bald eagles, puffins, and muir are just a few that stand out. Sitka Blacktail deer and Brown Bears are also a common sight. This wildlife tour is perfect for those looking to experience the breathtaking and overwhelming scenery the Tongass National Forest has to offer, with fantastic opportunities for photography and making memories. No animal sightings are guaranteed. All trips are unique due to weather and time of year.

A really special experience. We loved the private tour with a family of 3. Captain Joel was really knowledgeable and great guide! We had a cancelled tour with another provider and these guys were SO helpful and accommodating. It was a wonderful time seeing Whales, sea otters, sea lions and birdlife!

The wild Alaskan ocean is like no other place on earth. It will blow your mind to be out in the open, glorious outer coast and you'll be able to completely enjoy it with this safe, lifelong ocean going captain! Jaren is the perfect blend of wisdom, kindness, accommodation, knowledge, and fun. We got to see our ultimate hope- PUFFINS! But, even if we hadn't, it was over-the-top supreme to be out on the water like that with such a local, authentic champ. I've lived here longer than he's been alive and spent a ton of time on the water (including owning a couple of boats) and I am 100% satisfied and thrilled with our adventure with visiting guests. I got this tour through a silent auction, so you'll also be happy to know that a local good guy is supporting local great organisations through donations! If you book here with Captain Jaren, it'll be your highlight of Alaska!
