There is no other place in the western hemisphere where you can float in this much salt water! Plus you get a fun boat ride full of great information about the area! The shorelines of the lake are full of bugs so being in the boat keeps you away from them while you swim/float!

What To Expect
We will head out on our motorized pontoon boat and get some great views of the lake. We will also hear some entertaining stories and history of this world unique area along with a salty joke or two! We will have two stops in the lake where you will get to float in the lake a see how buoyant you are in the saltiest body of water in the western hemisphere. We will have spa pillows so you can lay back and feel total weightlessness or you can swim around. We will have bottled water and light snacks on board to keep hydrated along with buckets of fresh water to wash the salt off of your hands and face. Full showers are located at the marina in case you want to shower after the tour. There can be bugs in the air right when we leave the marina so we will provide you with a bee-keeper style hat to keep them away from your face. Once out on the lake, the bugs are gone. Bring a swimsuit, towel and some sunblock! We also don’t recommend shaving any body part before the tour to avoid stinging with the salt water.

5.00My husband and I went with another couple and we always look for unique experiences and this was definitely that. Tyler was our captain and was absolutely fantastic. Very attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming all of the best things. Yes, there are a lot of bugs on this tour but only near the shore and they do give you hats that were quite well. They are also in the water but just floating in the great Salt Lake was absolutely fantastic. had a blast. Don’t miss it.

5.00Our boat Captain Colton was very knowledgeable about the lake and area. He was also warm and friendly. Our trip became a private tour and he took the whole 2 hours. He didn’t try to cut it short since there was only the 2 of us. The float was amazing . He was very attentive while we were in the water. Go for a tour and float. It is well worth the money!

5.00This was such a cool experience. We so enjoyed floating in the Great Salt Lake and walking barefoot in the shallows to discover the unusual surprises awaiting us underwater. Tyler was an awesome guide and captain, and we are so appreciative that we found this hidden outdoor adventure in Salt Lake City. The views, the history, the wildlife, and the peace and quiet out on the lake are all spectacular. Highly recommended!

3.00Unfortunately this was not as enjoyable of an experience as expected. There were bugs all over the boat and we were constantly sprayed with water during the tour. It seemed like the last 30-40 minutes of the tour, the guide was trying to waste time by driving all around the lake even after we had already completed the swimming portion. Not worth the price, and not much of a sightseeing event (especially when you have to cover your face the whole time). I would highly recommend just going to the lake yourself and swimming in from the shore.
