It was a Beautiful Day for whale watching, the sun was shining and many whales were seen! Also went to gull Island...lots of puffins, gulls and terns. Didn't need to stay as long as we did there. You eventually get used to the smell after a while. Bring a hooded jacket or wear a hat as they do poop on you. Liam was our tour guide and did an AMAZING job! Fun, upbeat and very informative!!

It was amazing to see 10 or more humpbacks in the first hour of the voyage. One pair came within a few metres of the boat! The amount of birds (including puffins) in the preserve was staggering! The crew was engaged and entertaining throughout the trip and made the entire experience personal and enjoyable.

This tour was well worth the money. The crew was kind and made the experience very enjoyable! They took time to talk with everyone on board and allowed questions when asked. We did the 4:30pm tour and were back on shore by 6:25pm. We got very close to two whales and saw thousands of birds. Would highly recommend Patrick and his crew.

10 out of 10 in every respect. Superb commentary by Zach who was energetic, cheerful and full of actual information and knowledge about the birds and whales we saw. First class experience and this 2 hour tour was longer than one offered by the competitor from across the harbour. Even those of us living here who have seen many whales and puffins, this was an excellent tour.

We booked on-line ourselves. No problems! We chose 9 AM time. Despite the early morning being cool and misty, we loaded on the boat safely. Intro’s were made by staff. The boat was clean & neat with adequate seating. We chose to sit by the Captain. Luckily we saw lots of birds on the water and whale sightings almost immediately. The Captain was very good at moving the boat to the whale sightings. We did do Witless Bay Ecological Reserve to see 2 million birds nesting. Again, the Captain did a great job trolling the island for viewing and photographs. Zach was telling jokes, describing 12, 3, 6, 9 time clock to point out whales, calling out birds names and describing what we were seeing, along with screeching ceremony. We unloaded safely at dock. Overall we got great value for our dollar. No one can predict whales or icebergs. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed! Recommendations: better camera zoom lenses for puffin photos, and you might need a toque or gloves. Loved our experience.

Bonjour, we did a great boat tour at 4h30 June 26th, and including the best weather, blue sky, no wind , full sunny. we saw many humpbacks whales eating caplins, the captain gave us the time to enjoy it many minutes. And what about the Witless Ecological Reserve Island, a big WOW, millions of puffins, penguins among others. I would do it again if I did not have to go back home, Quebec. I will refer the O'Brien's for sure. Have a great Summer ! Helene and Claude :o)

The whales, puffin and the staff were incredible. Patrick did a great job narrating everything for us. Captain did a superb job navigating the high waves and keeping us on course to see everything. First time on this tour and it was worth it!
