Very enjoyable tour around the Oakland cemetery (peaceful and well kept) with 3 food stops sampling tasty food at independent local restaurants and a hip bakery - come hungry for lunch. Our tour guide Kirsten was an Atlanta native, friendly, knowledgeable and engaging on the history of the city and respectful to the cemetery and surrounds. Would recommend!!

We signed our family up for the Grant Park food tour as a gift for our youngest son, who’s a foodie and likes exploring local spots. Even though we’ve lived in the area for years and have been to Grant Park many times, we hadn’t tried all the restaurants on the list and were intrigued by a tour that connects local history to food. Our guide, Delaney, was there early and kept her enthusiasm and energy up throughout the 2.5-hour tour. She’s clearly passionate about history, and even though we already knew a fair amount about the area, we still picked up plenty of new stories and details specific to Atlanta, Grant Park, and Oakland Cemetery. Delaney introduced the cemetery residents we visited in a personal and respectful way, answered all our questions, and made the tour feel more like a shared exploration than a scripted experience. We also liked how she tied her stories into the food at each stop (corn, catfish, peaches, bacon, etc.), which made everything feel more connected. The food itself was generally tasty (especially Six Feet Under Pub & Fish House), but it was really the storytelling that made the experience stand out and gave us a new perspective on places we thought we already knew. Overall, this is a unique experience and a great gift idea, whether you’re visiting or have lived here a long time.

We did this tour with a small group as a teambuilding event - it was a fun way to learn more about our city and taste some amazing food! Kristin did a wonderful job of weaving history into the experience and there was still time for us to chat and catch up as a team during the restaurant experiences.

What a fun, informative and delicious food tour! This was a perfect blend of history and dining. We really enjoyed all of the bites (very generous portions) included. Delaney was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the area. Her love for this city and its history shined through. She readily answered our questions and chatted about Atlanta beyond the scope of the cemetery. Of note to anyone with allergies, the tour accommodated me, which was lovely. We had a great time on this tour and the food (and cocktail!) did not disappoint. We hope to go back to this area as there is much more to see in Oakland Cemetery and this super cool neighborhood. Thanks for a fun afternoon!
