Enjoy picturesque ocean views as you paddle towards Wave Break Island. Kayak through captivating waters while we have the chance of spotting dolphins and stingrays if we are lucky. Arrive to Wave Break Island where you’ll snorkel its rocky reef and discover the incredible Gold Coast's marine life. After the snorkeling, feel rejuvenated as you sit back and relax with some snacks and admire the amazing Gold Coast views to then paddle back to our departure point.

No previous swimming, kayaking or snorkelling experience needed
Low to medium fitness level (depending on weather conditions). Early morning tours usually offer calmer conditions while afternoon tours could be more for a good challenge. We offer a physical activity where a certain fitness level is required, no refunds or rescheduling options are entitled for those who are not able to complete the activity.
Maximum weight limit per double kayak is 220kg and 120Kg per single
Minimum age is 4 years
Water visibility and wildlife spotting may be affected by the force of nature (e.g. winds, rainfall, tidal currents) and Seaway Kayaking Tours is not responsible should this occurs.
A 12% surcharge applies on Sundays and Public Holidays

What To Expect
Only 20 minutes away from Surfers Paradise, paddle away from the city to Wave Break Island and get ready to have fun. In just 2.5 hours, paddle around the spectacular sandbanks of the Broadwater, a place where you might have the chance to spot dolphins, stingrays and hundreds of subtropical fish.

5.00It was a great tour with Seaway Kayaking Tours. The hosts were informative, friendly and helpful with their tips in kayaking and had some fun facts at the snorkeling point. There were photos taken in between the sessions and some delicious homemade snacks were provided after swimming with the fishes.

5.00Very lovely afternoon out on the water kayaking and snorkeling.the amount of different fish we seen were amazing. bonus with the rays swimming on the sand bars while kayaking too. Gonzalez, Karen and Nelson are fantastic tour guides. very helpful and very informative with the area around wave break island. Will definitely recommend this company to anyone who visits the gold coast. and the coconut ball treats that Karen supplied where the best ever. thank you again guys for a fantastic afternoon of fun , laughter. made us all feel super safe on and around the water

5.00I joined a small group of just seven people for a kayaking tour with Gonzalo, and it was fantastic. The meeting instructions were spot-on, and all equipment was provided — including wetsuits if you wanted one. We were given a thorough introduction and safety briefing before setting off, and Gonzalo made sure everyone kept up and felt safe throughout the trip. On the way, we stopped to see some soldier crabs, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived at Wave Break Island, we had about 50 minutes to explore at our own pace. I saw plenty of sea bream, but no tropical fish — which I expected, as this isn’t the coral reef. A small picnic was included, with snacks and a hot drink, which was a lovely touch. Gonzalo was fun, took lots of photos (much appreciated as a solo traveller), and they turned out far more professional than I expected! On the way back, we even got to surf some waves in our kayaks, which was a great way to finish the day. Overall, a well-organised, friendly, and enjoyable tour — highly recommended.
