5.00My journey in Chitwan as a solo-traveler began with a peaceful jungle walk, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the rustle of tall grass. I was blessed to see herds of deer and two incredible rhinos up close for the first time. As the sun dipped behind the trees, the Sauraha River turned golden, reflecting the sky in breathtaking beauty. The night came alive with the Tharu cultural dance, a lively showcase of drums, fire, and tradition that beautifully captured Nepal’s heartbeat and community spirit. The next day started with a serene canoeing trip along the River, where crocodiles rested by the banks and rare birds flew overhead. Then a jungle walk revealed the deeper mysteries of the forest , footprints of rhinos and tigers, and lessons from my guide about life in the wild . Later, a jeep safari carried us deep into the forest, where I saw monkeys leaping through trees, peacocks dancing, and rhinos grazing freely, and different species of birds.Haven’t seen the tiger. And yea, the rhythm of the wind and the whisper of the leaves felt like pure therapy for the soul, a moment of peace nature can give. That evening, I spent the night inside the jungle, surrounded by the sounds of the wild ,saw deers walking near the tower and the distant roar of a tiger breaking the silence of the night. It was surreal experience. If you are patient enough to stay awake till late evening, you may have a great chance of seeing the tiger, bear, and other wild animals, roaming around the tower. It was both humbling and exhilarating. None of this would have been possible without Ranjan and the amazing locals whose warmth, care, and hospitality made me feel truly at home.
