Great experience. Took the 5 day tour which also included Whale Watching in Reykjavik and transfers to Blue Lagoon. Each activity was well planned and documented with personalized itinerary for every day. Tour guides were very knowledgeable, professional and extremely helpful. Some connecting busses, but each time the guides personally assisted travelers in making connections. My only advice - Very important that you are at pick up points ON TIME. I saw many instances where the traveler was not present, and the bus driver waited exactly 90 seconds - not 91 - the. Drive off. This is to ensure fairness for other travelers. Be punctual or get left behind.

We have spent three days near South coast with our tour guide Haukur, the trip was really well-planned and the experience was more than satisfying! We had the chance to witness the breathtaking sceneries in the Golden Circle, ice caves and near the glacier lagoons, and thanks our tour guide Haukur, who always stopped at pass-by spots to add some extra experiences to our tour! For example, we got the chance to have photos of the horses and volcanos during our way to the different stops, which really made the whole tour even better. We really enjoyed our trip and a big thanks to Haukur Simonarson who was super nice to us the whole time, always trying to enlighten our mood during travel and giving tourist or dining recommendations for us!

My best friend and I took this tour last year. We had an amazing time. The places we visited were wonderful, all the sights were impressive. We highly recommend it! Places included in the tour: Gullfoss Waterfall, the Great Geysir, The Þingvellir National Park - Where You Walk Between Two Continents, Vatna Glacier and the Diamond and Black Beach. We were delighted with our trip, besides the amazing locations, our tour guides were very kind, funny and gave us a lot of great tips for other places to check out on our trip. We were lucky enough to experience the Northern Lights on two occasions, which was breath-taking. In general, the local community were really friendly. Without hesitation, we would definitely return.

This tour is highly recommended for people who only will stay in Iceland just for 4 or 5 days. The itinerary has been packed with many tourist spots, lots of chance to take good photos, the guide - Charlie is very thoughtful and nice, always put safety in his first priority. The schedule is so packed that I don't recommend you to go with mums & dad (unless they are very young), which I think it's a good point for me. I love their arrangements cause I visited many places in one time and I didn't have to worry about "how to go there, when should I go there"...blah blah blah~ One tour can solve all your problems and you will meet friends there too!

The best things to see are outside of Reykjavik, and since the road conditions in Iceland during the winter are harsh due to the unpredictable weather, my sister and I decided to book a multi-day tour to skip the hassle of renting a car and avoid the horror stories we had heard of tourists driving around Iceland during the winter. My sister and I aren't into big group experiences, so we were happy to see that Guide to Iceland offers small group multi-day tours. Our group had 12 people and we definitely felt like we had a more personalized experience because of it. Our guide Sveinn was great! He is native to Iceland, and is very passionate about his country and the outdoor adventures it provides. Despite the crazy weather, we felt safe the whole time with him (he has years of experience working on the search and rescue team in Iceland - he's a badass!) and he is hilarious with his unique sense of humor. During our trip, we felt like we had enough time to enjoy each stop and of course take lots of pictures! Our favorite sites we saw during the trip was the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach - both are unique to Iceland and absolutely breathtaking to see in person. Unfortunately, due to dangerous weather conditions, our glacier hike and ice cave tour got cancelled (this was a huge bummer to us because seeing the ice caves was a bucket list item of ours). Note: most people traveling to Iceland in the winter usually experience some sort of activity being cancelled due to the weather - however, people still love going in the winter because it's the only time of year to see the ice caves and the Northern Lights. Our guide Sveinn did a great job of improvising new activities for us to due as a result of those two cancellations - he took us to another glacier that we got to hike up to (not on), we got to meet the Icelandic horses, and he took us to see a hidden waterfall. Guide to Iceland was also very understanding and we got partial refunds for the two activities that had been cancelled due to the weather. I would highly recommend booking a multi-day tour with Guide to Iceland if you are visiting in the winter!

Fridjon was an amazing tour guide and it's no surprise to find out he does a LOT of interesting and unique private tours too. He is full of great stories with many personal connections that really bring the country alive. When our glacier hike was cancelled due to dangerous weather he didn't miss a beat, with added stops like Dyrhólaey (awe-inspiring!) that we would not have seen otherwise. He even treated us to hákarl and brennivín when we stopped to refuel! After spending three days with Fridjon I cannot imagine seeing Iceland any other way. My wife already gave his card to her seat mate on a Southwest flight this weekend, whose daughter is honeymooning in Iceland this summer.

After doing some research and finding the Guide to Iceland website, I booked this tour via them. All my enquiries were met with prompt responses prior to booking. I believe the actual tour was done by Aurora Hunters. The 3 day, 2 night tour started March 8, 2019 and things could not have gone smoother. We were picked up at the pre-assigned place on time and from then on things couldn't have been better. I want to show GREAT appreciation for our guide on this, Gunnlaugur B Ólafsson, who was simply outstanding. His patience with the group of 15 in the tour vehicle, knowledge and explanation of things were exceptional. He really made the tour fun and informative. We all know how sometimes tours can be arduous. To finish off, I would HIGHLY recommend this tour. Regards, Wayne

My five girlfriends and I took a 7 day trip to Iceland and were lucky enough to be on this three day tour. The planning was impeccable and the guide and driver were FANTASTIC. It's one thing to see beautiful sites, but let's face it, bus travel can get tedious. These guys (Rocky and Bene) kept it fun and light, while making sure everyone had a great time. This is by far the best tour I've been on, and I've traveled extensively.

This trip was so much more than we expected. It was packed with experiences yet very well orgainized. Our guide, Omar, was very informative and fun to be with. The mini bus was pristine and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the overnight stay at the Hotel Hofn in Hofn and the dinner there was worthy of 5 stars. We highly recommend this tour and would book it again in a heartbeat!

This was one of the best trips ever! This tour was an awesome way to see almost everything in southern Iceland. Our tour guide, Hinrik Oskarsson, was the absolute BEST! He crushed it driving through some pretty windy/rainy weather and still made sure our days were filled with incredible views and adventures. He even managed to squeeze in some additional stops that were amazing! I would take another trip to Iceland with Hinrik in a heartbeat!
