Your guide will pick you up at the airport and help you with the transfer to Zermatt.

Zermatt

Depending on your arrival time in Zermatt, you will have time to enjoy a stroll around the village or a few moments of down time before your authentic Swiss dinner at a local restaurant.

Gornergrat

You will enjoy a ride with the highest open-air railway in Europe. During a thrilling 30-minute ascent, you will get a chance to admire one of the most spectacular mountain panoramas in the world. At the top of Gornergrat summit, you can indulge in the fantastic vistas, drink a cup of coffee at the Kulm Hotel, or even do a little hike to the nearby summit. After that, your guide will be happy to suggest several hiking trails that are adjusted to your preferences and fitness level. You can, for instance, hike around Riffelsee and Rotenboden, admiring Alpine landscapes further.

Zermatt

In the afternoon your guide will be happy to give you a short walking tour of Zermatt. This will surely include the Matterhorn Museum, a graveyard where the first mountaineers lie, and so-called Hinterdorf, the oldest part of the village, where you can see what Zermatt looked like 300 years ago.

Glacier Express

In the morning you'll depart from Zermatt on the legendary Glacier Express bound for Andermatt. Enjoy the unparalleled beauty of the Zermatt and Goms Valleys, surrounded by sky-high peaks. After changing trains in Andermatt, you will arrive in Fluelen, at the shores of Lake Lucerne.

Lake Lucerne

In Fluelen, you'll board the 100-year-old steamer bound for Lucerne. Find comfortable seating in the first class and prepare for the leisurely, 3-hour-long cruise on Lake Lucerne featuring stunning views of Mt. Pilatus and Mt. Rigi.
