After an early breakfast we pack a light lunch and before it gets to hot, leave for Deadvlei. Here the 2km dune walk is taken to view old thorn trees that died hundreds of years ago and look like yesteryear. The fit can challenge Big Daddy at 380m one of the highest dunes in the world. Take water , sunscreen, a hat and good walking shoes along. Its at your own risk. We then drive to Sossusvlei , for Photos, a walk and a rest under the huge camelthorn trees. Its normally very hot in the Desert and care must betaken for heat exhaustion and dehydration. We leave for Dune 45, Dune 40 AND Elim Dune
Dune 45
We stop at Dune 45 and take Photos or walk up the dune, most are exhausted after the earlier dune walk.
Elim Dunes
We stop at Elim Dune, take photos and view the Oryx and Springbuck, maybe find a lonely Ostrich. Then head onto Sesriem canyon
Sesriem Canyon
Next we stop at Sesriem Canyon, go for a short walk and explore this wonder in the desert. An old river bed, eroded deep down , some places 10m and sometimes with a trickle of water. When first discovered in 1908 the farmers had to use 6 cattle thongs tied together to get water out for the cattle. Hence the Afrikaans name, SESRIEM, translated meaning 6 thongs. We leave the Park at midday , once completed, and go and enjoy the cool splash pool at our lodge
After viewing Sesriem and the deep gorges we make our way to our luxury tented Camp, where a cool pool is awaiting you. The dune walk has made you hot and sticky and the cool blue pool is inviting. Relax until the Dinner is ready. The amazing sunset with endless views lets you relax Please note we reserve the right to use another Lodge of this one is fully booked.

How do I narrow down all of the great opinions I have of this incredible tour experience. I would like to firstly thank WINTON for the warm open armed welcome in Swakopmund. He was incredibly informative about the vast things we saw in Soussusvlei and Sandharbour (absolutely idyllic landscapes)Anything we questioned, he answered. He waited patiently if we requested to stop for pictures and when nature called. Was up for anything we wanted to do (Dune 45 and the attempt of Big daddy dune) and I can’t forget to mention his humour. This tour was absolutely mesmerising and I will never forget the sentimental memory Namibia created. I would very much recommend to anyone! Winton, you are best (if you’re reading) Forte too degrees!!! 🥵🥵🥵

This company was so helpful in organising a (very last minute) Soussesvlei tour. From the accommodation they booked to the places and animals we saw, it was all incredible. A special thank you to Winton, our guide, who was so knowledgeable, kind, and most importantly hilariously good fun. He showed us so much that other tourists no doubt would've missed out on :) We loved the tour so much that we also did the Sandwich harbour tour which is an absolute must-see. Thank you Winton!!!

We had a great tour guide, Viktor, who was very knowledgeable and willing to tell us a lot about the desert, rocks, minerals, plants and animals. He had a great sense of knowing when to explain more and when we needed more time to indulge in the scenery. The lodge we stayed was incredible. We overlooked the desert from a hill, three sides open and the night sky was breathtaking. I think the tour could have been done in two days because the last day is basically just about driving back and we could have done this the day before as we would not climb severally dunes in a day. I think this way you could save some time or visit other parts of this beautiful country.

We had the most amazing trip to Sossusvlei with Uwe as our guide. We really enjoyed all the knowledge he shared with us about Namibia and the desert. We learned there is so much more life in the desert than it seems! The drive was comfortable and Uwe was happy to stop anywhere we wanted for photos. The lodge was lovely, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the food was great (3 courses each night for dinner!) The rooms are great and the cold plunge pool was welcomed after the hot day in the desert. This tour was everything we hoped and more.

Uwe is an amazing guide! Your drive, adventures and explorations will be catered to your interests and needs and filled with engaging stories and information about Namibian history, wildlife, society and the fascinating geology. Whether guiding groups or solo travelers he will do all he can to make sure you get the trip you dreamed of. He is also one of few who will take on solo travers, even last minute, on these tours because he wants to share the beauty of this country with all who visit. His love for this beautiful, unique country shines through and inspires, making a stunning trip to Sossusvlei even more spectacular. I can’t wait to come back!
