12h00: Embark at Ha Long wharf. Break and photography time. 12h30: Boat cruises on Ha Long, enjoy a welcoming drink and cruise briefing. 13h30: Have lunch while cruising to Bai Tu Long Bay, admiring the fascinating rock formations in the bay.
Thien Canh Son Cave
15h30: Transfer by tender to Thien Canh Son cave. Our tour guide will take you to a huge cave with many interesting stalactite and stalagmite in different amazing shapes …. After about half an hour visiting, you will go back to tender and return to the boat: Then return to cruise for your leisure or join sunbathing, enjoy with kayaking around Cong Do area to discovery more about Bai Tu Long Bay.

07h30: Have breakfast, coffee and tea is served freely. 08h30: After slightly breakfast you will transfer to day trip cruise ( for charter cruise no transfer) to discover more about Bai Tu Long Bay and go in to Tra San 09h00: Drop anchor at Tra San. 07h30: Have breakfast and enjoy sunrise on the bay. 08h00: Visit ancient Vung Vieng floating village you are not only be immersed in the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, but also be surrounded by the rocky mountains by small bamboo boat for an hour or kayaking in to the ancient village, then return to cruise for relaxing. 10h00: After an hour around floating village, you back to the boat and packing your luggage and check out the room. 10h30: Have lunch while cruising back through Ha Long Bay to the pier. 11h30: Disembark at Ha Long wharf, time to say goodbye to the crew. 12h00: Return from Ha Long to Hanoi. 14h00: Stopover on the way for a refreshment break. 16h00: Arrive in Hanoi. 2.00Viator confirmed our booking and put us in touch with Local Tours Asia, who advised that the Bai Tu Long Bay tour I had booked was not available but there was a similar tour at same price available on a very nice ship called Cycad (advertised as 6 star). “Similar” is a real stretch. Apple photo location tells me we didn’t go anywhere near Bai Tu Long bay. All of my photo locations show we were in Halong bay the whole time. I also had regular internet and used Google maps to confirm location. That the cruise stayed in Halong bay ensured we had plenty of ships surrounding us throughout the cruise and enabled the ship to dart back to port on day 2 to drop off the first one nighter group and grab the next, whilst the 2 nighters (6 of us) had no choice but to board the tender as lunch was only going to be provided on the tender. This tender had already picked up passengers from another cruise so it was a bit crowded. This was a confusing cruise with overlapping activities and no clear plan for people on a 3D2N itinerary. We were at the pearl farm twice and on day 3 were offered the opportunity to do the cave walk and kayaking that we did on day one. Food was ok. Day 2 dinner was outstanding and went close to that 6 star rating. Room was very nice. The queen size was constructed using rocks.. It badly needed a softer mattress. Ensuite bathroom was nice as well. Crew: very polite and attentive. Overall not the cruise we had wanted or booked and given we were charged the original price it feels like a money grab.

5.00Totally worth it to stay the extra night, because the extra full day is where you do a very nice kayak tour in the morning with almost no one around, and a visit of floating fisherman's village. Everything is timed and the area discovered is not much, but views are amazing and it isn't too touristy
