Fly Addis Ababa (ADD) - Jinka (BCO) - Continue Driving to Turmi Your driver and guide will meet you at Jinka (Baco) airport and continue a 130 km (2 hours) drive to Turmi town to visit the Hamar tribe. You may see Aari, Banna, or Hamar tribal market on the way on a market day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday). In the late afternoon, you will visit a remote Hamar tribe village and get an authentic immersion experience with the Hamar people. You may also attend tribal ceremonial events such as the Hamar Bull Jumping Ceremony (optional), or Evangadi Dancing Ceremony (optional). OVERNIGHT: Buska Lodge Turmi
Key Afer
Once a week, a small town of Key Afer in the Lower Omo Valley holds a large market (the largest in Omo Valley) where three different tribes come together to buy and sell. The market brings together people from Tsemai, Hamer, and Bena tribes. Everything from fruits and vegetables to wood to honey and butter to silverware and animals is sold here – the open-air market brims with color and sound. Some are not tourist-friendly, but the vast majority of mostly women sellers are happy to pose for your pictures with their wares.

Drive from Turmi - Karo / Kara Tribe - Jinka Depart for a 65 km (1 hour) drive to Karo Korcho village and meet the Kara people who reside by the Omo River. You will have a genuine interaction with the Karo people famous for intricate body and face paintings. You can get your face and/or body painted in Kara style. Drive to Turmi for lunch, you may visit a tribal market on a market day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday). You may also attend a tribal ceremonial event such as the Hamar Bull Jumping Ceremony (optional), or Evangadi Dancing Ceremony (optional). Finally, continues a 130 km (2 hours) drive to Jinka.

Jinka to Mursi Tribe - Fly to Addis Ababa Drive 50 km one way to meet with the Mursi people and return back to Jinka. The Mursi people are a nomadic tribe who live on the land between the Mago and Omo National Parks. Mursi women wear lip plates on their bottom lips. Finally, you will be dropped off at Jinka Airport for your flight to Addis Ababa.

5.00My 3-day trip to the Omo Valley with Glamour Omo Valley Tours was absolutely unforgettable! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized, professional, and deeply enriching. The team was incredibly knowledgeable about the local tribes and culture, and they made sure we had authentic and respectful interactions with the communities. Visiting the Mursi, Hamer, and Dassanech tribes was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Our guide explained the traditions, history, and daily life in such a clear and engaging way that it made every visit even more meaningful. The accommodations were comfortable, the transportation was reliable, and the driver handled the rough roads with great skill and care. I always felt safe and well taken care of. What truly stood out was the personal attention and warm hospitality. The team went above and beyond to make sure everyone in the group was happy and comfortable. 5.00Honestly I was quite sceptical about Glamour as I had no reference but their service was really good. Thanking Mickey for arranging our travel and accommodation. Specifically wanted to tell about our driver throughout this package, Abey He's such a good human being and very caring like a young brother. Very trustworthy and understanding boy. They devise excellent itinerary , give you options to choose hotels as per your budget/ preference and ensure that smallest details are taken care of. We enjoyed an excellent trip to Ethiopia in 2025 with them; they organised a wonderful stay at good lodge for our family and we have become Danakil Depression Travels loyalists since then. 5.00We have just completed a 3 day individual visit to the Omo Valley with Glamour Tours in which we visited 6 different tribes and 2 markets. We priced four different tour groups and considered Glamour represented the best value for money, and we certainly weren't disappointed. The tour was led by daniel, whose enthusiasm, knowledge of the area and general helpfulness contributed heavily to the enjoyment of our trip. All dealings with Mickey prior to the trip were dealt with promptly and professionally, and I would recommend this group to anyone wanting to experience the delights of Ethiopia.

5.00Back from a 3day trip with danakil Tours. It was truly a lifetime the stars of the trip were exceptional valley experience, humour and ability to manage our entire group were just impressive despite this being his first international trip, he was very professional in dealing thing. Both were patient, accessible and perfect in every little things. The itinerary was well planned, covered excellent locations in a short span. The hotels and food provided exceeded our expectations. Our local guide,mickeywas outstanding and enthusiastic about sharing our Thai culture. What made this trip truly special was the bonding among the members, thanks to his team for their efforts. We felt like a family, sharing laughter and creating memories. Although the trip has ended only a few hours back, I am already missing our fam!! A huge thanks to danakil Tours,all crew (missing them already) for crafting an unforgettable experience. We hope to reunite with the same crew soon and explore more places together!!🧿❤️😭
