Thousand Islands Bridge
The Thousand Islands International Bridge (French: Pont des Mille-îles) is an American-maintained international bridge system over the Saint Lawrence River connecting northern New York in the United States with southeastern Ontario in Canada. Constructed in 1937, with additions in 1959, the bridges span the Canada–US border in the middle of the Thousand Islands region.
Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House
Construction began on Boldt Castle in 1900 at the bidding of millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife Louise. Boldt Castle was designed as their summer dream home. A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years.

The 3 hour cruise was okayoverall. However, the interior of the boat could use some upgrades as it's starting to look a little sketchy with mismatched ceiling tiles and other fixtures could be refurbished. The men's washroom was the worst and it had no running water. The staff had placed a water pitcher on the counter so you could wash your hands, but on the second visit, the pitcher was empty.

Had a good experience. Easy to book and board the cruise. Get on first if you are particular about where you sit. Plenty of seating and standing options and people moved during. Great food choices. Liked the narration. A bit long for my personal taste but glad I got to go by the castle.

The boat, the cruise team everyone was super nice. Talking about 1000 islands in French and English that's perfect. Having a toddler i was skeptical in the beginning however the boat is safe. Having chairs and tables to sit and enjoy the tour. However to buy food on the boat not worth it they offer just snacks and the essentials. If you have a kid you re allowed to bring your own snacks/food which helps a lot the parents instead of buying it. Overall great experience made some new friends and the islands are breathtaking.

Although early in the season, and the weather rather “cool”, it was an excellent trip. The ship was very stable, the views were great, and the crew were very friendly, professional, and a joy to interact with !

Great 3 hour cruise. Friendly staff. 1000 Islands narration was great and informative in both French and English. Loud and clear. The 3 hour cruise brings you on a circle around Bolt Castle for dream building along the way. All in all great experience. Booked with Viator, super simple and convenient. Captain Techie approved.

3-hour cruise from Gananoque, pleasant and does not seem long because many things to admire (islands, houses, bridge, birds) not to mention the atypical castle of Boldt with a complete tour around the island at very low speed. To do absolutely!

What a wonderful way to spend 2.5 hours out on the water amongst the 1000 islands. We opted for the longer sunken vessel tour with a 1:00 sailing.
