Thousand Islands Bridge
The Thousand Islands International Bridge (French: Pont des Mille-îles) is an American-maintained international bridge system over the Saint Lawrence River connecting northern New York in the United States with southeastern Ontario in Canada. Constructed in 1937, with additions in 1959, the bridges span the Canada–US border in the middle of the Thousand Islands region.
Boldt Castle and the Boldt Yacht House
Construction began on Boldt Castle in 1900 at the bidding of millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife Louise. Boldt Castle was designed as their summer dream home. A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years.

Super nice little cruise of 3 hours. Diverse landscapes with superb colors this season (October). Comments (in English and French) are pleasant and well heard. Time passed quickly, proof of an interesting ride.

Just ok. The recording was impersonal and about an hour in, unsupervised children took over the boat. The castle was the highlight for sure!

Let’s start with what’s good: the 3 hour tour on the lake waters, the walk is pretty: it’s a good time. The staff is not really friendly and this from the parking (9CAD), can only be consumed and drunk what is bought on boat, there are chairs arranged everywhere on the various decks and the padded benches not maintained.

We found the accompanying commentary very limited and lacking in detail/information. The landscape was quite repetitive and it felt like just an opportunity to look at expensive island houses. On the plus side, it was a beautiful day and there was plenty if seating.

Excellent affordable and relaxing experience for everyone. I like that the crew was organized and punctual. The scenery is amazing followed by commentary and explanations about the surroundings during the cruise. The top deck was a little crowded so we didn't have the best view, (If you come approximately 30 minutes earlier you will be first or among the first visitors so you can choose better seats) but the level underneath the deck is good as well. It was quiet and peaceful so we enjoyed it. It's a good idea to bring a sweater or a jacket because it can be chilly and windy on the boat. I would definitely recommend this cruise to everyone and I would love to come back again. Cheers

The view from the top of the boat is fabulous. Seeing the islands and the way people adapt to life there is intriguing.
