Starting from your chosen pickup spot, the Bisbee Warren Tour begins by exploring Bisbee's origins, including its founding and the impact of its first copper smelter. Next, you'll visit OK Street, John Wayne's favorite hangout, and see the architecture miners built. You'll explore the first brewery site and Brewery Gulch, learning about miners' flood challenges and the historic Red Light District. The tour stops at the Lyric Theater and Central School parking lot, highlighting local history and architecture. A visit to the Old High School delves into the area's educational past. Ascending High Road offers panoramic views and a thorough history of Bisbee. The tour concludes on Main Street at Quality Hill, showcasing historical and architectural details, with three stops that bring Bisbee’s story full circle.
You will go up the mountain above Bisbee and see the Divide from atop a famous tunnel, where a notable 1914 monument is also located. Next, you'll follow a winding dirt road up the mountain, passing by areas where you might spot wildlife and get glimpses of the Sulphur Springs Valley. At the summit in the Mule Mountains, known as the “Towers,” you'll enjoy breathtaking views of nearby mountain ranges and look far into Mexico. On a clear day, you can see the border wall and Douglas, AZ. In some places, you might even find minerals like malachite and turquoise on the ground.

The Mountain, Mines & Old Bisbee 3 Hour Tour was fantastic!! Travis grew up in Bisbee and is a 3rd generation resident. Travis provided so much history with so much detail on Bisbee and a few of the surrounding areas. His tour included information on Bisbee from the beginning to current. We explored tight, hilly neighborhoods with so much character and rough, winding, hilly roads to reach the mountaintop that had breathtaking views!! There was SO much to see and take in on this tour! Travis pointed out several places to have our lunch, the one we chose was so delicious! The jeep was so comfortable with lots of room. He kept us both entertained and enthralled with all of his historic Bisbee knowledge! We highly recommend Big Jeep Tours! It was the highlight of our week-long visit to Arizona!

We had a great 3 hour tour of Bisbee and it’s surroundings from top to bottom. Our guide Travis brought Bisbee history to life as we traveled the area in his comfortable Jeep. It felt like we were learning the real history of Bisbee, Lowell, and Warren from a remaining member of one of the early mining families. 3 hours went by in a blink…

Travis, our guide, was a native of Bisbee and had insights on local history and mining activity that made our tour especially enjoyable. We had been to Bisbee before and on our next visit we will take Travis’s tour again. Highly recommended!

The tour was spectacular! Travis knows and loves this little city, so can provide all kinds of little details to help visitors love it, too. From the windy mountaintop with deer sightings, to the winding hilly roads through neighborhoods & downtown, and even the cemetery, he kept us informed & entertained. We highly recommend this tour.
