Doi Inthanon
Located in Chiang Mai Province, Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain in Thailand, rising 2,565 meters above sea level. Doi Inthanon National Park has lots of amazing variations in its lush geography and forest. It is home to rainforest, mixed forest, and pine forest. The weather is cool throughout the year, especially in the cool season when there will be almost constant fog coverage all day and a stunning phenomenon of Mae Kha Ning or frost flower in the early morning.

John was our tour guide and did an amazing job explain what to expect. He took pictures of us feeding and bathing the elephants in the Elephant Sanctuary. The King and Queen Pagodss were beaufull. At the amazing waterfall hike, I had difficulty navigating the steep down stone parts of the hike so John got extra help for the local village to help me complete the hike which was amazing and supportive as I slowed the other 12 down

Great experience. Tour guide was polite, helpful and informative which made each activity more enjoyable. Especially enjoyed the elephant experience. We were able to get up close and personal with several elephant. The trek down the mountain was interesting, nice scenery and the waterfalls were beautiful. Great tour and reasonably priced

We wanted to see elephants whilst in Thailand and this looked a good value trip as it combined this with some walking and visiting the highest point in Thailand. The elephants were definitely the high point and great to be able to feed them and take part in bathing them. We would not have wanted to have spent a whole day with the elephants so the other aspects to the trip were an interesting addition. The guide and driver were excellent and the trek was manageable but only in dry weather! We knew the next day we had done a trek!

Beautiful day that begins at the elephant refuge that treats animals well by not forcing them to swim. They are free is what I particularly appreciated about this refuge very well side for animal welfare. We fed them and touched them. Then only one went swimming from which we could join him to water him in the back. Another was happy to water us with his tube. A great experience followed by the visit of Doi Inthanon and trekking at the fall. A beautiful day to remember.

Great day to discover the region. 2 hours to the pleasant elephant sanctuary. A bit fast at the top and 2 pagodas. A bit fast also for the 1h30 trek. Lots of road.

Very enjoyable full day tour beginning with a visit to Living Green Elephant Sanctuary. Two tour groups combine together (approximately 24 people total) to feed the elephants and follow them to the river. Delicious lunch (vegetarian Pad Thai) and fruit provided for a pleasant outdoor lunch. Visit to Doi Inthanon peak, temples and waterfall hike were well timed and organized. The tour van was a bit cramped, especially if sitting in the back where seats do not recline during long drives between sites. This was the biggest detractor, particularly given the extended driving times where more comfort would have improved the overall experience. Of note, individuals with reduced mobility may have issues getting to the elephant sanctuary camp over uneven terrain and during the waterfall hiking trail. Guides were well organized and pleasant.

The elephants were great, the guide was well organized but the trek is more of a walk. Everything was interesting.

This activity was amazing in every way. A full day to experience the country around Chiang Mai. We started at the elephant sanctuary spending a lot of time with 4 elephants who looked very happy and well pampered. We fed them, walked to the river with them and then helped cool them off. After a delicious lunch (pad thai and fruit) we went to Doi Ithanon park stopping at the highest point in Thailand. The scenery along the drive and at the top was stunning. We went next to the twin pagodas which were beautiful and surrounded by amazing vistas. The next activity was a 1.5 hour hike with our guide and two Hmong guides who were also very knowledgeable as they lived in the village where we ended up. The hike started in beautiful jungle along a river with waterfalls and ended up above terraced rice fields. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and nature

Very well organised and run trip. Lots seen in one day. The elephants of course were the star attraction. Would have liked a little bit more about points of interest as we travelled; eg.Huge white Bhudda oh hill, a little bit about villages passed through or the general area. Overall though a brilliant experience.
