Our tour guide, Tanya was very nice, but unfortunately, she did not seem to be as knowledgeable as we would have liked. Once we were able to read some tour books we realized that much of what she told us was incorrect! Additionally – when we arrived at the castle, she told us that she was not allowed to do tours inside the castle and she took her tour guide badge off. She also asked us to tell people that we were all family if anybody asked. We would not have minded helping her in this way, but she did not give us any real information about the castle. There were other tour guides on the premises telling wonderful details about the history of the castle and we did not get any of that. We would have done better renting audio guides at the castle. Lastly, her communication skills were so so. Much of what she explained to us we had to ask questions about to try to get clarity. It was not an accent issue, simply her way of speaking and word choices (For example, she use the word “converge” to mean open up/get larger. But actually, it means the opposite! We still enjoyed the day, but for the price we did not feel it was worth the value

We so enjoyed our private walking tour of Edinburgh thanks for our tour guide, Lisa. She had wonderful stories to share from Edinburgh's history. Because it was a private tour, she was able to cater to our interests. Lisa was also a lovely person to spend a few hours exploring Edinburgh. She gave us great tips along the way to explore Edinburgh more on our own.
