I paid $288 for two people. I can tell you it was not worth this price, not even close. First stop was a brewery. We were suppose to get a Kentucky Common beer, they didn’t have that. They serve a generic lager that was loaded with sulfur dioxide, a common fault with lagers that aren’t aged long enough. We got a pretzel also. Second stop was the real loser. Suppose to be biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were the size of a dime and very stale. The dipping sauces were cold and bland. Third stop was for fried chicken; this was pretty good. Four item was served at the chicken location. Two pieces of candy, whip-de-do. Fifth location was ice cream, not very good. Tour guide tried too hard to be funny, she wasn’t. Don’t waste your money on this tour.

We had a great afternoon learning about some of the history of Louisville as told by our wonderful tour guide “Christina” and how that history has influenced the food of not only that area but also the world.

I was really looking forward to this tour, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectation. For the price I expected more food and not to have to pay for our drinks. The biggest disappointment was the Kentucky Fried Chicken. It was a typical chicken tender that you can season with Nashville Hot Chicken seasoning. Though the biscuit flight was good, it was the only homage to the Hot Brown and it was just okay. I won’t post our guides name but she was just blah.

Allison was a great tour guide. Really bubbly and friendly personality. The food stops were great. Would have loved to do the whiskey pairing but I chose not to add that in. It looked good though!

Great tour! Our guide Christina was so knowledgeable and passionate about louisville and NuLu! The tour provided great stops for traditional Kentucky foods. Walked through neighborhoods and really got a feel for the town. Christina suggested places to go and things to do while we were visiting. Hands down one of the best tour companies. They used microphones and we each got a headset so we could hear everything. Would absolutely use this tour company again!
