Only 20 km away from the North Korean border is Hwacheon County. There, one of the top winter festivals of the world takes place. At Sancheoneo Ice Fest you can catch fish through a hole drilled in the frozen river. After successful fishing, we will hand the fish over to the chef’s desks and get them cooked to have a grub on it.
If you are up for something more dynamic, dare to jump into ice cold water and try catching sancheoneo by hand. Bobsledding and ice sledding are also prepared as parts of the festival. Come join this special, family-friendly 3 days tour! The tour includes visits to Yongpyeong Ski Resort and popular natural parks such as Nami Island.

Hotel Pickup in Seoul at 07:30 and Head to Gapyeong(1h – 1h30m) Petite France - a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside! It consists of 16 French-style buildings where visitors can lodge and experience French food, clothing, and household culture. Pose with statues of characters from Le Petit Prince for whimsy pictures, find the film locations of popular Korean Dramas such as My Love From the Stars and Beethoven Virus. Nami Island
Famous for its beautiful tree lined roads, many Korean dramas were filmed at this location. The island is an adorable spot for not only savoring the nature, but also to be amused by the installations and creative playgrounds put up by the artists who reside in the island. Animals such as deer, rabbit, and ostrich can be spotted during your walk.
The Garden of Morning Calm
This garden is the oldest private garden in Korea. It is an artistic space with a beautiful balance between the Korean concept of natural curves with asymmetry, and plants with synthetic materials, attracting about 600,000 visitors annually. Its name has been taken from a poem written by Sir Tagore, a great Indian poet, who described Korea during the Joseon Dynasty as "The Land of the Morning Calm." Enjoy the scenic walkways, beautifully manicured grass, and flower beds connecting the garden's 20 different themed sections. Dinner : Local food Head to Chuncheon (40min.) Hotel Pickup and Head to Hwacheon (1h) for Ice Fishing Tour - Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival ( Period : 05- 27 JAN ) : Hwachoen Sancheoneo Festival is the most popular winter festival in Korea! You can do Ice-fishing trout festival and there are more activities you can do like snow sliding, snow sled, Ice sliding, Ice skating, catching trout with bare hands,etc. If you catch fish, then you can bring it to the restaurants and ask the chef to cook! You will eat your fish there! This tour will be perfect for family and friends. Especially if you are with kids, they will love it!
Day 3: Ski Resort - Seoul :

Ski Resort pick up Ski Rental & Ski Lesson Enjoying Ski or Snow Sled After the hotel pick-up, we will head to a ski resort. Ski rental & basic ski lesson will be provided. Lunch will be inside the ski resort on your own. Extra ski lesson will be provided for those who struggle for their first time, otherwise it is time to enjoy skiing. Vivaldi Park Ski World has been noted for being the most visited ski resort in Korea for seven consecutive years. Its facilities are kept in a state-of-art and it is equipped with slopes suitable for all levels. It also is the closes ski resort from Seoul, being the largest in the metropolitan region.
