Vilamoura is not just Golf, the Marina and the Casino. Vilamoura is much more than that! It has Roman origins, 1st century AD, and is an excellent location for taking advantage of maritime resources and freight traffic.
On this tour, we will discover the origins of Vilamoura and Quarteira and, as the latter is a fishing town, you will explore the typical markets.
We cycle along the beach, go to the lighthouse and here, you can see Vilamoura and Quarteira as if you were on a boat!
We stop at the Old Village so you can explore the space freely.
We visited a "secret" spot with turtles... yes there is a spot in the middle of Vilamoura with turtles! And we return to the starting point.
We are waiting for you!

Lovely ride out and about. Got to see the beautiful coastline and the old village. Our guide was lovely and allowed us time to take photos.

Great way to see Quarteira. Nick was a fun, engaging and interesting host and took us to some spots off the beaten track. It was a relaxed pace and small group with plenty of stops. Great way to start your holiday.

I would 100% recommend if considering booking. A wonderful way to see more of Vilamoura and also quite cooling in the heat biking with the wind. The guide was wonderful and we throughly enjoyed the trip. Nice cold bottle of water provided and bags for phones etc, plently of stops for photos and drink. We would do this again if visiting in future. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Our English guide Nick was relaxed and friendly, tailoring the tour to our preferences. Bottled water was provided as part of the tour. In addition a stop was made half way round at an ice cream/ coffee shop (at our own expense) The views along the seafront are lovely. The tour was good value.

Experienced guide who took time to ensure group stayed together. Route was largely flat and utilised predominantly cycle paths, roads were quiet.

Family of 5 who joined this tour. The guide is a local man who has grown up in Vilamoura and very knowledgeable. It’s evident he is passionate for his local community and preserving nature. Just right length of time and not onerous. Bikes in good condition.

This was a great way to see the sights and learn some of the history of Vilamoura. We saw some places we’d have never known existed and were happy to see the turtles too. The whole group were lovely and we spent a very enjoyable three hours cycling and chatting. Joao was a lovely and knowledgable guide. Our seven year old was very well looked after and we felt very safe even on the small sections which were on roads. There were regular stops and a couple of hills. A bottle of water and handlebar bag were provided so we didn’t need to take our own bags and had somewhere to store phones which helped.
