Fantastic four-day and three-night tour with accommodation on the Barao boat, which was very good because you are inside the marsh itself and you make the most of the time. The facilities of the boat were comfortable, the food very rich and varied (Tulio and the cooks very good), the attention of the boat staff, excellent. Our guide Herley was very professional and knowledgeable about both the fauna and the area and also the pilot of the boat we were assigned, thanks to them we saw a great variety of the fauna of the Pantanal including fifteen jaguars, two of them hunting, an incredible experience. Beatriz from the beginning was very fast and efficient, providing us with all the information we requested. Everything went perfectly and certainly if we can come back we would repeat with Pantanal Safari Tours

The Jaguar Safari was an absolute highlight of all my experiences so far. I've wavered a bit, because it's not quite cheap after all. But it's worth EVERY cent. Even the journey across the Transpantaneira is breathtaking. Arriving on the houseboat we had lunch and then we took to the water by boat. On the first day we could observe jaguars, caimans and giant otters. On days 2 and 3 we saw jaguars mating and hunting successfully. Thanks to the expertise of our guide Tito, we observed about 15 jaguars. Tito is super nice, knowledgeable and very prudent. Accommodation on the houseboat was a dream. In the middle of the jungle, surrounded by untouched nature, and yet we lacked nothing. The boat offers exceptional comfort that makes the experience even more luxurious. And the food! It was just sensational. Each meal was a culinary highlight, freshly prepared and served with love. It is impressive what the crew conjures up on board. I can highly recommend this safari to anyone. It was a breathtaking, well-organized and unforgettable trip that exceeded all my expectations. A big thank you to Tito and his team for this adventure!

We had a fantastic trip in Pantanal, clearly the highlight of 17 days in Brazil. Our guide Igor was good at spotting jaguars and an incredibly pleasant person. So we think a total of 7-8 jaguars in different situations. Either they were engaged in mating, hunting or other activities. So also many other exciting animals from Pantanal. The stay on the boat was lovely relaxing and gave easy access to the river when we had to leave early in the morning. The food and staff were superb. Will warm recommend it to others.

This was a great tour and Loester was an excellent guide, who was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We were told by our first guide after pick up that we were extremely unlikely to see jaguars on this tour, and unfortunately he was right. He said other tours at Porto Jofre were almost guaranteed to see jaguars but they were not suitable for my parents. The tour started very stressfully after an admin error by their office but it was sorted within a few hours thankfully.

We were really uncertain about spending (what is for us)quite a lot of money going to the Pantanal but we are so pleased that we did and that we went with this company. It is a local family company with so much experience and they really care about the experience they provide. Our guide, Tito was a total superstar. He found the animals, even on a slow wildlife day. He clearly loves driving the boat and he took real pleasure from finding the animals we most wanted to see. He found four of the ‘big five’ for us. He really looked after us at the lodge and was always very clear about all arrangements and plans. Top guide and a very professional company. Notes for travellers: 1) take your ponchos and waterproofs on the boat, even if you set out in dazzling sunshine. 2) Tito has lots of drinking water on the boat but if you are a very thirsty person, also take a little of your own because it gets hot and you will sweat. 3) some days on the boat can also be a little chilly. Take a jacket if you feel the cold easily. 4) be patient. It is possible to be on the river for a couple of hours before finding one of the ‘big five’. 5) the lodge was clean the the staff were kind but it was very expensive to buy soft drinks and beer. Ask the price before you buy or you will end up with a bigger bill than expected at the end of your stay (like we did).

Rich wildlife coupled with experienced and enthusiastic guides made for an unforgettable experience. Herley and Roger did an excellent on the water down in Porto Jofre, both had a real eye for the wildlife. Tito showed us the wonderful giant anteaters up in Piuval, tracked down the elusive tapir and kept us entertained with his (very realistic) bird sounds!

When I first looked at options for jaguar safaris in the Pantanal, I went into it expecting to maybe catch a glimpse of one jaguar, or maybe see a hyacinth macaw in the distance. Oh, how I was WRONG! We were collected from Cuiaba airport by the wonderful Fabrizio and embarked on the long drive down to Porto Jofre. On the way we saw toucans, macaws and much more. We checked in to the hotel Santa Rosa (lovely hotel with a pool and great modern accommodation) and got an early night, ready for a 5am start. Before 10am on our first day of safari, to my astonishment we had ALREADY seen three jaguars, two families of giant otters and much more. By the end of the two days, our guide Herley (who was awesome - with an eagle eye!) had helped us to spot not 1, but 15 jaguars!! We also enjoyed meeting tour guide Roger, who was also incredible and could spot even the most carefully hidden jaguars! After this we moved on to Piuval lodge with the wonderful guide Tito, where we were lucky enough to see 4 anteaters in the morning and a tapir on a night drive, which was an awesome experience. This lodge was away from the river and much closer to Cuiaba, so the landscape was much different to the river but had its own fair share of amazing wildlife. Pantanal Safaris were fantastic from start to finish, extremely attentive over WhatsApp and email. They customised our trip and made sure we were happy with our hotels and our route. I would recommend a mix of spending time in Porto Jofre (for the jaguars!) but also at least 1 night in Piuval Lodge for the anteaters. NOTE: We stayed at Jaguar Bay which is owned by Santa Rosa hotel and it is a short drive from there. The rooms are actually better at Jaguar Bay and you can easily be shuttled over to the main hotel where you have dinner and use the facilities - do not be put off by this - we were very happy! THANK YOU 🥰 Katie Kohn

One of our best decisions when planning our trip to Brazil was to book this tour online. Perfect execution from the start in Cuiaba. Attentive drivers who point out things worth seeing and the crowning glory were the boat safaris with our perfect guide Roger. We never expected to be able to observe so many predators beforehand.

This was truly one of the best experiences of my life! We spent two full days on the river in the Pantanal, (around 6.00-17.00 but is slightly changeable), and managed to see a total of 8 different jaguars, with 9 sightings!! If you are travelling in peak season then it seems that encounters with a jaguar are highly likely. Throughout the experience, we witnessed 2 attempts at hunting from jaguars, spent hours following individuals along the beautiful river bank and even managed to see a jaguar with her 3-month-old cub, which was a very special thing to witness. The trip was made even more brilliant by our guide Herley, whose friendly charisma and expert positioning of the boat made for a wonderful trip. Aside from the jaguars, we encountered lots of wildlife, including a tapir, (sighted from the lodge), caimans galore, giant river otters hunting, toucans, howler monkeys, hyacinth macaws, capybaras and many more. There were countless photo opportunities on this trip so that you can remember this incredible experience forever. If you are considering a trip to the Pantanal- this company is absolutely incredible and you will definitely not be disappointed!!

We really enjoyed our experience with Pantanal Safaris! We will admit that when friends asked us to go on this trip, we did not know anything about the Pantanal. Pantanal Safaris provided a wonderful tour, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful scenery and amazing wildlife of the Pantanal. We liked the mix between boat and vehicle game drives. We stayed at Pousada Santa Rosa for 2 nights and Pousada Piuval for 1 night. Originally, we wanted to stay at Santa Rosa for all 3 nights, but we are so glad that they split up the locations as there are different animals to see at both places. Beatriz was so responsive during the booking process and always communicated quickly when we had questions. We especially enjoyed getting to know the Pantanal Safaris owner, Fabricio, the last couple of days. He was so informative and friendly! If you are looking for a great Pantanal experience book with Fabricio and his team at Pantanal Safaris. He is a local who truly cares about preserving the Pantanal and all it has to offer.
