Embark on a scenic and invigorating journey through the Annapurna region in Nepal with the popular Poon Hill Trek. Also known as the short Annapurna Circuit Trek, this idyllic trail showcases the beauty of the region with its picturesque villages and stunning rhododendron forests. In spring (March-April), the blooming rhododendrons create a paradise-like ambiance. The highlight of the trek is the early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210 m), where you will be treated to a breathtaking sunrise view of the entire Annapurna range, including the majestic peaks of Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Annapurna I (8,091 m), Machhapuchhre (6,998 m), and more. Although the trail requires some ups and downs, it is suitable for anyone with basic fitness. The ascent to Ulleri may be challenging with its over 3,000 stone steps, but the experience is well worth the effort.

We went to Poon Hill trekking in 4 days and 3 nights. Mr. Kumar, our guide, is the best guide! We had a great 4 days ✨ The inns we stayed at were all good with good views! Roman, who we communicated with via email before the trek started, was quick to respond and answered our questions politely! We also had a great view at Poon Hill! I recommend this tour company to everyone!

The hike was absolutely amazing and incredibly beautiful! My wife and I aren’t experienced hikers, but Kumar and Milan made the whole journey so enjoyable, relaxed, and full of smiles. We felt supported every step of the way. I would highly recommend both the hike itself and especially Kumar and Milan as guides.

I did the 4 day Poon Hill trek with Yam, i have to say Yam was thorough, precise and made sure i had an amazing experience. Thanks Yam for your knowledge and your guidance on my first trek, it certainly wont be my last. His insight on the flora and fauna during the trek was exemplary. And his excellent service was attentive and helpful. The scenes we witnessed during our trek were breathtaking, not my last trek. Thanks Yam!

Where to start? I can't imagine a better experience that the trip with the superb Raj Kumar! He is a wonderful, experienced, thoughtful and knowledgeable guide, with a phenomenal ability to teach, adapt to needs and help you enjoy the Himalaya at it's very, very best. Early on, Raj Kumar identified that the plan might be too ambitious, and helped us adapt for a plan B to prioritise our wish for an enjoyable/fun trip. He introduced us to all of the flora and fauna we saw on the way, went above and beyond to help us at the guesthouses, answering all of our (many) questions and doing it all with humour and kindness. His knowledge of the area and Nepali culture/tradition/history is astounding - and he was always ready to teach us a little more when we wanted it. When Roman said "one of our best guides is available", I think he meant the best guide in Nepal. Thank you Raj Kumar for all the laughs and lifelong memories. I enjoyed every minute, even the high-stress portrait painting session in Ulleri. Truly a trip to remember.

Absolutely fantastic experience!! Roman, the owner was super helpful and accommodating of our group, and we spent 5 days trekking with our guide Raj Kumar, absolute legend. Our group was fairly inexperienced, and it was a last minute decision to even go trekking, but they made it work. Would highly recommend Breathe Nepal, and would 100% return to the Himalayas!

Amazing! Friends and I took a 5 day trek in the Annapurna region, and we had an adventure of a lifetime. Although we made a decision to switch our trek from ABC to Poonhill after finishing the first day, our guide Raj Kumar and the rest of the team had no issues accommodating our request. You will be in safe hands whenever comes your way, even when your plans change. Our routes and the places we stayed were breathtaking, and spoke of the team’s knowledge and experience of the locals and the land. Along the way we learned about the culture, language and so much more. Thank you to all staff at Breathe Nepal, and special thanks to Raj Kumar and our porter for providing an unforgettable experience and being such an amazing additions to our group while we trekked. We are all very eager to return soon.

This trek was absolutely life-changing! The sights, the food, the culture, and everyone you get to meet along the way are absolutely worth it. The guide was so helpful and knowledgeable along the hike. The daily cost of the guide was negligible in comparison to everything you learn and the experience you have. The trek is not very crowded, but the people that are on the journey, the people that live there, and the hikers, are all wonderful and friendly. This trek is best for people in reasonable good shape. I wouldn't say you need to train for the trek, but you might want to make sure you can hike 5-7 miles per day without too much trouble.

Our Trek with Breathe Nepal Trekking: Warm, Reliable, and Unforgettable When we chose Breathe Nepal Trekking, we mainly hoped for a well-organized journey through the Himalayas. What we received was so much more: an adventure full of stunning views, genuine warmth, and countless good moments shared with our guide Roman and porter Saroj. Perfect Organization from the Start. Communication beforehand was clear and quick. Everything was taken care of: permits, route, accommodations, and even practical tips about what we should and definitely shouldn’t bring. It felt professional right away, but never distant. And that feeling stayed throughout the trek: everything was well-organized without ever feeling rushed. Roman & Saroj. Roman turned out not only to be an excellent guide but also someone you can effortlessly talk with for days. About mountains, culture, food, daily life in Nepal… and occasionally about things that made no sense at all, but still made us laugh. Saroj had that same energy: strong, kind, modest, and with a smile that worked like central heating even at 4,000 meters. Together, they showed us the true warm character of Nepal, not just through what they told us, but through who they were. At times it felt as if we were traveling with friends rather than with a trekking team. The Trek Itself. The route was perfectly planned: a great mix of peaceful villages, forests, breathtaking mountain views, and enough breaks to catch our breath (which was absolutely necessary at times). The lodges were simple but comfortable, with hot tea, hearty meals, and that satisfying feeling of “this was a good day.” Safe, Caring, and Attentive. We truly appreciated how attentive Roman and Saroj were. Pace, acclimatization, water, rest… we didn’t have to think about anything except how many times we could say “wow” before it became annoying. And whenever we had a question, they usually answered it before we even asked. Fun Together. What made this trek truly special was how much fun we had together. We laughed so much on the way, sometimes at jokes, sometimes out of tiredness, sometimes at nothing at all. It made even the longer or steeper sections feel much lighter. It felt like the four of us formed a small team on a shared mission to discover the best of Nepal. Final Verdict. Breathe Nepal Trekking is reliable, professional, and personal. But Roman and Saroj made it genuinely unforgettable. They shaped the Himalayas for us not only through the route, but through their warmth and their character. We would return with them without a moment of doubt, for the mountains, for the experience, and honestly… simply for the good times together.

From start to finish, our Poon Hill trek was an absolutely incredible and seamless experience, thanks entirely to our amazing guide, Roman. We cannot recommend him highly enough! Roman made the entire journey a true pleasure. He's incredibly knowledgeable about the region, and the culture. He had a wonderful way of sharing insights without overwhelming us, making every step engaging. Beyond his expertise on the mountain, Roman's choices for accommodation and food were outstanding. Every guesthouse he selected was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, providing the perfect rest after a day of hiking. The meals he coordinated were delicious, and authentic, consistently exceeding our expectations for what you can find on the trail. It felt like we were eating in the best spots every single day!

In October 2025 our daughter and I made a wonderful trek with Breathe Nepal, perfectly organised by Roman, splendidly guided by Kumar and assisted by Sarot. The tour was diligently planned and executed, with an exceptionally nice guide and porter, who were extremely pleasant to trek with during the entire tour. We did the Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp in one go, i.e. eight days with over 90 km of walking and uncounted steps along the way, but in a beautiful setting of the Nepali mountain forest surrounded by the Himalayan mountains offering splendid views.
