Had the best 5-day tour of Uganda with Lulu Safari's. We got to do several game drives, boat ride on Kazinga Channel, Chinp and Gorilla trekking. Our accommodation (arranged by Lulu) was amazing! Food, service and facilities were all fantastic. The best part about our tour was our guide Sarah! From the minute we were picked up we felt so welcome. Sarah went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend booking with Lulu Safaris and requesting Sarah as your guide. She is simply the best tour guide we have had!

So we did an hybrid safari out of Kigali Rwanda. Includes Akagera, Bwindi, and Vacanoes (golden monkeys). Our guide was Smith and as the other reviews have already stated he’s outstanding. Very observant and quick to help. Also (most importantly) easy to talk to and associate with. He has a very mild demeanor and never showed stress, anxiety, or anger which is amazing considering some of the traffic he had to go through. If you’re going to be in a car for a long time that’s really important. As far as the safari itself everything went as planned. Gorillas are amazing and a must see. Only caution is the road to Bwindi is really really rough for 2Hrs. So if you suffer from car sickness beware. Unfortunately that’s the only way into the park. Akagera was fine for what it is. Small, fairly new park. Lot of brush and limited to staying on the roads so tricky to spot stuff. Would highly suggest going to Elizebeth Park in Uganda instead. Overall couldn’t be happier though. Picked the perfect company for the options we chose.

We just returned from a trip of a lifetime! I cannot even express how much we loved and enjoyed this tour. The booking process was very simple and Elvis was super quick to share info and update our itinerary. From pickup from our hotel in Kigali the process was seamless. Franklin our guide was a pure treasure who made sure we always had everything we needed and more! We visited Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda to see the Golden Monkeys followed by Bwindi in Uganda to see the Gorillas and WOW what an incredible experience to be so close to these wonderful animals. We also visited Queen Elizabeth National Park where we saw a Lion and a huge herd of Elephants! Lake Bunyonyi was our final destination before heading back to Kigali and what an amazing way to end the trip on such a beautiful Lake with breathtaking views. All of the lodges we stayed in were really nice and different in their own special way. I have travelled a lot and this trip was just spectacular. Our guide Franklin was the best guide I have ever had, he was calm, composed and made us feel safe from start to finish, we feel like we now have a friend for life. I will definitely be back to Uganda, the beauty of the landscape and wildlife was truly breathtaking and I can truly say Uganda has my heart. When i return I know exactly who I will use and that is definitely LuLu Safaris with most certainly a special request for Franklin :)

Trip was okay. Sarah was guide and Allan driver. Pros: - [ ] Punctual - [ ] Helpful at times - [ ] Good driving by Alan but just needs to take time over harder road humps and breaking to consider back seat passengers - [ ] Calm guides -[] Driver knowledgeable Cons - [ ] Used bag containing my lunch as a bin - [ ] No energy vibe from guide - [ ] Left to eat lunch alone on last day of my trip - [ ] Window nob broke so wasn't always easy to wind window down. Informed guides but didn't remedy this. - [ ] No water in car upon arrival. Had to ask; waited 3 hrs - [ ] No ac working in van - [ ] My manual window winder nob came off - [ ] Not organised - [ ] Guide on phone and taking pictures - [ ] As a guest found it somewhat isolating at the back on my own as both Sarah and Alan sat at front talking in their language - [ ] Wasn't always kept informed as to what we were doing but guide and driver talked amongst themselves putting me in a position to constantly make enquiry - [ ] Went to bank and guide literally stood up close to me watching what i was doing. Did bit give me provacy - [ ] Driving through Kampala following day no interaction. Spoke amongst themselves in their language for the next 2 hours laughing and joking between themselves. This happened throughout the 8 hr journey with the odd comment here and there. Elvis seemed occupied elsewhere and had to reach out to him a few times regarding upcoming trip. I would not recommend.

Excellent tour organizer! They were very responsive to our emails, explained everything and in detail. Our guide Smith was amazing. Always very positive, knew his way around and very attentive. We really enjoyed having him as our driver/guide. After returning from our golden monkey trek with muddy shoes he took it upon himself to clean our shoes. If you are lucky enough to have Smith as a guide you will be in good hands.

The pillar of a successful tour is in the people who take care of you far away from home. We had a chance to get to know Lulu Safari’s guide Mr. Allan Smith, who was very experienced driver and knowledgeable guide. Our tour was well managed regarding timing, recommendation of restaurants and optional visits. The company was prompt and was able to take care of all our extra requests during the tour (extra detour and a boat ride on a lake Bunyoni), additional shoebill boat safari in a Nature reserve from Entebbe etc. The booking process was easy and Mr. Elvis (the general manager of the company) promptly replied to our questions. Once on a tour we can not stress enough to be very happy in the company of our guide Mr. Allan, because he was of great personality, outgoing and tried to make our visit of Uganda (and Rwanda) memorable and hassle free. Thank you.

Very easy communication with Elvis via WhatsApp, which made everything very easy to arrange, in addition a secure online payment link. My guide was Smith, who did everything to make sure I was happy and continously checked to make sure I was enjoying the trip. The accommodation options I had were all amazing with wonderful views. Would recommend!

We had an amazing time in Uganda with our guide Ceaser from Lulu Safaris. My mom and I had Ceaser as our private guide as we traveled across Uganda to Queen Elizabeth NP, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Lake Bunyonyi. Ceasar shared his experiences as a Ugandan and gave us great insight into the people and the culture. He also made customizations to the itinerary based on our interests. The lodges we stayed in (Enshama, Bweza, Heritage House) were clean and located in picturesque settings. We took a 30 minute boat ride to get to the Heritage Lodge on Lake Bunyonyi…gorgeous lake. The meals we were served were delicious and ample. The gorillas are amazing! Ceaser also did a great job ensuring we were on a shorter hike better suited for my mom. My mom and I had a great time seeing Uganda. I would definitely recommend Lulu safaris and Ceaser.

We went on a 4 day 3 night tour with Lulu Safaris. We had our own four wheel drive throughout the journey and our guide Stuart was amazing. He shared with us stories of the places we visited and we also got to experience the culture of the place and the people. Of course on top of managing to see the safari animals and mountain gorillas! Thank you for a wonderful tour.

I just completed the 5 day gorilla and chimpanzee safari with Lulu and cannot speak highly enough of the itinerary and this tour company Booking Process - Working with Elvis was very easy, he was accommodating of all of our schedule changes and ensured our accommodations aligned with my dietary restrictions Tour Guide - We were fortunate to have Frank as our guide. Frank was amazing and provided such a high level of service throughout the trip. - Frank was proactive in making sure we were always comfortable, enjoying the itinerary and offering his support in anything we needed (e.g., sundowner dinners or extra game drives) - Frank also ensured we had the best possible experience in Uganda. He wanted to show us as much of his country as possible and ensure we saw it in the best light. Even when we had to go to the bathroom while he was filling up with gas, we’d start walking into the gas station and he wouldn’t let us go in, instead walking us to a nice hotel or restaurant and persuading them to let us use those bathrooms instead as they were cleaner Accommodation - Accommodations were phenomenal. They did differ slightly from the itinerary we reviewed but in both instances we appeared to be upgraded. Our lodging in Queen was changed to a 5* instead of 4* and our lodging in Bwindi was a different 4* that had better views than where we were anticipating The extra little things -A final call-out around the amount of care this company has for its customers. Elvis runs a very tight ship, every 2 hours he was calling Frank, our guide to ensure we were enjoying our experience, and every day he was calling me to make sure we had everything we needed - Elvis also told us the day before our gorilla trek that he was able to call Bwindi and have us moved to the group with the biggest gorilla family (we didn’t even ask for this). Highly recommend lulu on any Uganda trip. They are very well connected with the country and take a lot of pride in their guests experience.
