Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast of coffee, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, it’s dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here. Later on, will follow the transfer back to Arusha city for drop off in your hotel

I had a an amazing time during the safari tour. It had been my lifelong dream to come to Serengeti and Ngorongoro to see all the big five and the big cats in their natural habitat and this tour did not disappoint. In fact, I was able to see all big five as well as all the big cats such as many lions including a cub and some very up close (right next to the safari car), a leopard, and a cheetah. My safari guide/driver Melita was a very experienced and easy going person, and he made sure we got to see what we wanted to see. Even when some unexpected things happened during the safari, such as getting stuck in the mud or the engine not starting (both or which are pretty common in this area especially due to road conditions and weather here), he knew exactly what to do or how to fix them and we got out very quickly. All the campsites were very nice and some even had hot shower, which was very pleasant. The campsite chefs, Godwin and Pius, were amazing chefs and the food they cooked were extremely delicious and nutritious. Pius even prepared some food separately for Vegans in our group, which was very nice of him. Overall, everything was good and I cannot wait to come back to see the beautiful animals in this area again.

We lived 4 days of INCREDIBLE safari! It was a magical experience: The beauty of the animals, the beautiful scenery and the adorable people. Our guide Amiri and Chef Salim were great throughout the stay. Our guide who knows the animals and the environment perfectly allowed us to see a lot of animals and unique shows! The dishes prepared by Salim were delicious! The organization was perfect and the guide Daniel at the briefing and debriefing was also great. I highly recommend the agency Suricata Safari!!

We can highly recommend Suricata Safaris! It was an unforgettable and magical experience! Everything was well planned and organized from the very beginning (pick up from the Airport & Hotel, Food , water , spotted animals, etc). Before the tour started we got a detailed Briefing from Obby one day before the Safari. Everything was very well explained and organized. Our tour Guide was Charles - super friendly, calm and he knew many things about the animals and national Parks. He was very relaxed, calm, supportive and funny throughout the whole stay. We felt very comfortable during the whole stay and we were able to see the Big 5 and also a Cheetah Family, hyanies, many Giraffes very close by. Charles really new were to go and look for the Wildlife. It was very impressive. He was very Patient and we got the opportunity to have long „watch“ times. The food is perfect! Very delicious. Thank you so much for this amazing experience! You made it happen to us! The pictures speak for themselves.

It was amazing! One of the best experiences of my life. All the services offered were 10/10. The staff was exceptional from the start, with special mention to Jackson and Daniel, who helped us with our booking and follow-up during the trip, Luther, our driver and guide, and our cook. There are no complaints about the organisation as the schedule was followed millimetrically day by day. Concerning the food, it was delicious! I was really worried before arrival as I am allergic to fish and seafood, but there was always a lot of variety to choose from and every dish was better than the other. It is really important to point out that we were really lucky with the people we were teamed with. It was a very natural and easy-going environment. Furthermore, we got to see the Big Five, so we are really happy about that. Do not hesitate to book with Suricata Safaris. They will always be concerned about your needs. They are the BEST!

Awesome experience. Very well organised, best staff! They were super involved to give us the best tour. Caring for all members of our group (allergies, special needs…), you feel taken care off for the very beginning till the end. They always give you all the information and recommendations you need. Very kind and friendly staff, always with a smile, you can tell they are very passionate about their job and experts in what they do. Food was something else, delicious, varied, local, everything that we can ask for. We had an amazing chef. The guide and driver (Luther) was always looking forward to give us the best view of the wildlife and find as much animals as possible. He knew perfectly where to go to spot them, and gives a lot of explanations for us to understand what we are watching. Even if the roads are crazy, we felt super safe while he drove all along. He created a really nice environment in the jeep and gave us an unforgettable tour. And you can see other drivers of the company are also doing the same thing. The Safari was incredible, we were so lucky because of the season, but also because of the staff experience, and got to see many things, including the big five. If you are hesitating to do a Safari, go for it! And if you choose to do it with Suricata, that’ll be the best choice for sure: Local company, great, passionate and experienced staff, best food, well organised, a very complete experience to enjoy.

Really amazing experience, starting with the booking, always attentive and resolving all the doubts, it's clear how organized they are. Once we started, our guide Melita was incredible, knowing all the spots to see the different animals, he was in contact with the rangers by radio so also communicating always where to go. Also our big chef Salim, he prepared really incredible food so we always had been nourished too so well. Until the end another staff of suricata (Daniel) he came in to the hotel to see us and ask how was everything and to see if there's something to improve or change. It was an amazing Safari and suricata made it much better, being so attentive and searching the best to all the group

Suricata Safari made me fall in love with Africa, and Tanzania. Everything from when I was picked up on the airport to when I left has been so amazing that it's difficult to spell out in words. Our guide and driver Charles was very knowledgeable and made sure we saw all the big 5, most of them on several occasions. The chef Mukhucin was amazing and made some of the best and diverse food I have ever tasted. Make sure to tip them well! The camping spots were very good and most of them even had hot water for showering. I would recommend bringing some earplugs though since the animals can make quite some noise at night. We had everything from small dik-dik to elephants visiting our camps so you really get to get close to the wildlife. Also, if you are going to Ngorongoro, make sure to bring some warm clothes. The only criticism I have is that when I was going to Serengeti we were a bit late and didn't get that much out of the day, and in Ngorongoro two other people were joining our group and there was an issue with the permit which made us all very late for the crater. They did solve this in a very good way though and I was very pleased with how it all turned out. I am for sure returning to Tanzania after this experience!
